Clarance Bogart is a gnome who stands 3' 8" tall with a lithe build chestnut hair and glasses. He is the youngest of 4 children at the age of 172. His family are all artificers and inventors by trade and he is no different leaning more toward the invention and science side. Often times thought of eccentric he was a prodigy at his craft.After working with his parents for some time in his younger day Clarance became a tad bit greedy and promptly took a juicy government offer and became one of their lead inventors. This job was pure hell. He spent 24 hours a day 7 days a week in a government facility generally not allowed out except for the most special of occasions or events and was consistently sworn to none disclosure with his most sensitive of work. Most of his inventions went to secret agents none of whom appreciated anything he did were consistently insulting him and generally just broke his most beautiful prototypes in the field. So after 30 years of this miserable existence and many magnificent discoveries when his contract came up to be renewed he decided to retire.
with 30 years of a outrageous government salary that was for the most part untouched do to his lack of social life he found him self with a small mansion in the mountains living alone. At first this existence was paradise fresh air when he wanted it, no one to boss him around or be abusive to him it seemed like all he would ever want. but soon after a few years he started finding him self restless. he started craving some adventure and excitement, the interaction with other people, but especially a lab where he was driven to invent. it was true that he had a lab here with some of his tinkering but nothing could compare to making things for people, solving their various problems and needs with science .
this led him to a quandary. Of course he did not wish to join the government again, why would he ever wish to go back to that pit of dis pare again? So in his pondering on what to do to come out of retirement he came to one conclusion. He should join the the mafia. He did not need payment he was after all rich and in fact would probably be a better asset what with his remaining governmental ties in research and requisition. He would be helping fight the very people he despised in the world with better equipment than they have. And he knew that with at least some of the members he would earn their respect unlike the stupid secret agents.
should he be accepted into their fold who knows what adventures lay ahead of him.
