I am the reincarnated soul of Prince Khufu, revived century after century to be reunited with my true love Princess Chay-ara. I've gone by many names, such as: Brian Kent; Koenrad Von Grimm; Captain John Smith; Hannibal Hawkes, and; Detective James Wright.

Most, however, know me by current name, that of Carter Hall. And to a certain extent, also Thanagarian policeman Katar Hol but that's a story that's best left alone.

I am an archaelogist to St. Roch Museum. Recently, I also served as Commisioner of the Thanagarian Police Force. I am trained in many types of weaponry, including battle axes, maces, swords, spears, shields and rifles. My link to the Thanagraian Nth metal allows me to defy gravity, with my wing harness acting as a steering mechanism in flight. The link has also given me enhanced strength and eye-sight, rapid healing abilities, and even regulates my body temperature, which explains why I'm always shirtless - hey you would be too if you had my body. I also have the Claw of Horus which draws its power from the magnetic core of the earth. And I can hit Superman with it - hard. Just ask him about it - or at least Jeph Loeb.
