Wow, you have the straight up clearest view of the game industry. I have to agree with everything, you nailed it on the head. Personally, I don't like the way its going though, I'm not sure if indie developers fighting their hardest to prove themselves can really match up to the old model of very well funded, organized projects. Its more of an opinion based thing though since we'll have to see how far this goes on for, and if there will be an old model roll back or if this really is the evolution of the game industry.

Dota2 is already the most played game on steam and its not even out of the beta, I have high hopes for it and if not, whatever I'll still be playing it. I honestly believe that with the economics between the two games, people from league will start to die out of the fanbase as much, it might be hard though because of their attachment to their skins. lol

Things I want from Blizzard: Blizzard Allstars, Warcraft 4. That's the only thing I have left to hope for them, they're dying, they're making stupid card games and not sticking to the said game development schedules. Of course they'll always have their hardcore followers, but their foot in the door as one of the largest game corporations will slip if they don't innovate on a more reasonable level. I mean I love Blizzard, but sometimes it really is a "wtf are you doing?" moment.

I also hope the game industry reassess the genre of MOBA, that's not what these games are, they're aRTS games, in their logic Quake can be a Moba. They're objective games, not kill-based arenas. emotion_facepalm

Ah, that makes sense. Unfortunately for me, the game I play is still in beta, and until Valve stops making people use keys to join the site I've basically been watching over will be slow. So I just started coming back on, gives me something to do while I'm on the other forum. Sometimes it gets too slow for my liking. Speaking of Starcraft, whatever happened to that Blizzard Allstars release that was supposed to follow it up? That was almost as disappointing on being told D3 is gonna have PvP...and then nothing. =|
