I just notices my pants thing here (called 'preppy pants' or something...) where labled 'male'. Is that possible? Aren't all girls only supposed to get female stuff in stores? (Or they just change the label...) Eh. Whatever.

You can post avatars on your profile by clicking "Avatar" and choosing a Friend. Sometimes accounts won't show up in the Friend list though, so....You might have to go to the Username tab and write in the username you want to add onto your profile.
