I watched the video again and I saw that Gaga said "record" and not "album" .. You think she meant a new song and not the whole album? In fact, after she pronounced Born This Way, she sang a verse .. So would that imply that it's just a verse from another record/song? And that maybe she's waiting, like she said, until New Years?

Just wanted to drop by and ask. xD
