The Hinote Clan: The Hinote clan is comprised almost solely of “Burning Blade” users. After several generations of using Burning Blade has changed Hinote Physiology. Members of the Hinote clan have developed denser bones and muscles with a higher stress tolerance. Both give a Hinote the natural strength and stamina to effectively wield the highly dense and therefore heavy swords the Burning Blade technique. Hinotes have also developed a natural resistance to fire and heat. Although statistically the resistance is minimal, a typical Hinote clan member can stand next to a forge or under a desert sun and suffer little to no ill effects. This fire resistance gives all Hinote clan members tanned skin even though they typically live in underground tunnels. A Hinote has a natural affinity to the earth element which is a pre-requisite for the Burning Blade technique. The coming of age of a Hinote is only recognized after the forging of her/his first permanent Okan-yaiba.

The first of the only two children of the head of the Hinote clan. She studies the “Burning Blade” used by most of her clan members. As the heiress of the Hinote clan Ardea shares an intense bond with the Earth. Usually has her eyes covered to help her stay connected with the earth. She navigates primarily by sensing the vibrations in the ground and objects around her, she also has a slightly heightened sense of hearing and smell. Growing up she never had any friends as her family is very protective. The reasons seem to be that her father has been missing since she was 2 and her younger brother, who has very little skill with the Hinote clan’s “burning blade” technique. only known to few is the fact that she is the Jinchuuriki for Kaku the seven-tailed Bijuu.

Ability: ThisJinchuuriki has the ability to travel through the earth freely without using a jutsu. The Jinchuuriki main power is to use clay along with its jutsu to transform there body into anything or anybody. note: clay is needed to perform this jutsu:

travel through the earth: this ability allows them to travel underground without disturbing the earth making for stealthy attacks from below

clay transform: this ability will force the clay around the Jinchuuriki and mold there body into what ever shape is in there mind once trance formed there is no way to detect it

effect: Once the user has formed a Okan-yaiba she/he swings the sword and fires several shards of the Okan-yaiba at her/his target. A typical Okan-yaiba has the capacity for 6 shots. As the Okan-yaiba is also the ammunition it's blade length shrinks with each shot fired. After the first two shots the Okan-yaiba's blade which is ruffly the same length as a katana will than be shortened to the length of a wakizashi (or"short" blade). after both the third and fourth shots are consumed the okan-yaiba's blade further shortens to the length of a tanto (dagger). After reaching the tanto state the Okan-yaiba can only fire a further two shots before being completely consumed. once all six shots have been fired only a useless handle remaines.
