I have been off from gaia for awhile (bc of work) x. x and while i've been gone... gaia has changed a bit and come with new items... and for now... i feel kinda lost.. sweatdrop

dA muro... it sounds kind of like... tegakie? Is that how it's spelled? I don't even know. I never even used it, but my friend would.
Usually I'm too lazy to get my tabby out, so that's why I don't draw. Plus I'm paranoid because I don't really want my roommate/apartmentmates seeing my drawings. My drawings aren't even THAT bad, but I'm embarrassed still.
It's like... I don't want them to know I'm wasting my time drawing instead of actually doing useful stuff like studying emo They probably don't even care, I always pressure myself into stupid ways of thinking. emotion_donotwant

Dude. magic wand tool has me excited. (lolol did that sound wrong?) But seriously, I'm excited. I can't want to try drawing and coloring with it. I'm like... in awe. Oh baby where has it been all my life. emotion_kirakira

Haha, I'm glad I can draw digitally instead of on paper. SERIOUSLY I MOVE LAYERS AROUND A LOT.
On paper I'm always like "awww man, this would've been perfect if it was like 2mm lower gonk " Seriously. TWO. MILLIMETERS. classified_fu

I'm not really sure I've improved on drawing, but my drawing styled is ever-so-slightly more consistent than before. ; u ;

Also. I had the most ridiculous day today. I didn't eat for over 24 hours. Why? Because. I WAS GETTING ATTUNED.
I pretty sat at my laptop for over like 9 hours because of GR and people leaving and dying. BUT I FINALLY GOT THE ATTUNING QUEST. YUUUUUUS.
I AM THE CHAMPION. (ok not really, our kiter was. srsly)
But it's been a tiring day. u__u We got so many loops. I just imagine how much faster we would've been finished if we actually went the right way instead of looping. emotion_8c

Wait. You keep the sketch even after you line it? Don't you just delete the sketch...? Oh, I don't know. But I know coloring will be a bit faster for me with the wand tool.
I CAN'T BELIEVE I WAS DOING IT WITHOUT THE WAND TOOL THIS WHOLE TIME. ASDFSGDHJKL;; WHAT WAS I THINKING? gonk
This wand tool... It's so magical. What would I ever do without it! No wonder it's been taking me so long. Magic Wand Tool, you are my savior. ;_____;

Well... when I sketch, I always start out with doing everything freehand. But the midway, I always end up drawing those basic shapes for proportions anyways. lol I'm not good enough to just DO it. One day, perhaps? emotion_kirakira

LOL yeah probably. I just have no idea what else is in graphics design because all I think are site banners and stuff. o 3o I wish I knew. Maybe in the professional world, it's like doing magazine covers or advertisements?
What sources do you use to draw? I'm just curious. I wanted to learn Photoshop but it had too many buttons for me to fiddle around with. xd

Lol, when I'm sketch, I'm too lazy to even clean. lol
I wish I could just draw lineart directly without sketching first. That'd same me a ton of time. Though my art has been cleaner now than it'd been in the past at leastttt.
When I draw something, I have to be patient. Because when I rush things, they turn out kind of bad. At least coloring only takes you 1-2 hours. IT TAKES ME FOREVERS TO COLOR. I hate it. I wonder if I'm just doing it a "slow way" or something. I think I am because I just found out (like RIGHT now) why my magic wand tool in Paint Tool Sai wasn't working. emotion_donotwant

I'll start drawing you soon. emotion_yatta Just don't expect it to be super amazing or anything. ; u ;

Yesss. Go to college, because cramming is fun. lol

In my high school, we had a graphics deaign class... But it's really nothing more than just learning how to use photoshop. And photoshopping random things on other random things. rolleyes (Like replacing the heads of celebrities with someone else's head) Lol what kind of class even is that? Well, I guess as long as you learn how to use photoshop...

I like sketching too. It's so much easier that linearting. u__u; Well, I prefer smoother lines at times, but personally, I think it gives a "neater" feel to it.
asdfghjklk I dunno. I must be tired. emotion_donotwant I should be sleeping right now but.... I'll just deal with it in the morning. emotion_donotwant

I totally know what you mean. I'd be all "I WANNA DRAW" but then I dont' have the patience at night when I'm all tired and sleepy. I think I'll actually attempt coloring. It's been a couple months since my last attempt. But... coloring takes me a long time. u__u;;
You sure that's the outfit you want me to draw? Because I'll have to save it onto my laptop and possibly take 238947 days to finish it.

I'll start drawing maybe this weekend, since I have to sleep for now. Class in 5 hours. Whoopee.

You have some cute art! I hope you don't mind if I give a little bit of constructive criticism? ; u ; Well, it's not even criticism, but I think you should try line-arting your originals. It would look amazing. Like try drawing in a single strokes instead of many small ones.
I remember when I was practicing drawing a couple years back, and I thought I was pretty meh in my sketches. But when I took the time to line-art it, it looked pretty good. Well... some of it. xd

I still need more practice though. I had a freebie thread a couple months ago, but I just couldn't keep up with requests, and there were too many unappreciative people. So I kinda gave up and died. :c
At least I got to practice drawing + coloring. I'm still kinda crappy though. I did eventually make a temp grab bag shop, but then I was too busy. I only did three requests. lol But yeah, if you don't feel confident enough in your art, a good way to practice is to just do freebies for a while or have a grab bag shop instead. Having a grab bag shop is really lessens the pressure. ; u ;

Seeing your art shop motivates me to practice more. + w +

Besides, college is like... experimentation time. Maybe you chose the wrong major at first, but what if... you end up really liking it? o 3o

Well, even though things are moving fast...
I know for sure that Computer Science majors have is pretty easy when it comes to job-finding. xd It's really hot now, since practically... /everywhere/ needs it.
Even though I'm part computer science.... I'm nowhere near ready. emotion_donotwant

I didn't even know a thing about switching majors, so I'm glad I already came here as a computer engineering major... otherwise I would be unable to take any of my classes for CSE. mad

And I feel you. I feel like college is ending too fast. And then I'll have to go out in the world independently. I'm halfway done with college but.... I don't really feel ready. ;___; Whyyyyy.

Is graphic designing like art related...? Maybe you can go into video game design/science. Maybe that's similar?

I don't know about the school you'll be going to, but if you plan on switching majors after getting in, you should pick something really close to the field that you want to switch to.
I go to a university, so we have "different schools" for each field, so like... a school for biological sciences, one of computer sciences, one of engineering, one for business, one for sociology.... etc. You get my drift, right? o 3o;
It's easier to switch into a major within the same field.
So at my university, the majors like Mechanical Engineering and Aerospace Engineering are both within the Engineering school, not to mention they require you to take similar classes. So it would be easier to switch from one of these majors to the other or even double major. Another example would be the major Computer Game Science and just regular Computer Science, since they're both in the school of computer science.

It's easier because when switching majors, you'll need to fulfill certain class requirements before you can actually switch. But if you're in a different school (like school of sociology), then it would be more difficult to get into engineering classes because of major and enrollment restrictions.
Hopefully, I made sense.

I don't know how easy/difficult it is to switch majors at other schools, but this would just be my advice, since this is how my school does things. xd

I'm bad at plain memorization so... Biology is definitely not for me. I think the stuff I like is more hands-on.
Personally, I don't really like ANYTHING, so I /have/ to pick something. At least I'll pick something I'm decent at!
You should choose what you like to do! Then you'll enjoy classes and learning. Would do you like to do? c:

... But I think I have to take summer classes again. emotion_donotwant I always feel like I'm constantly falling behind.

Most of my computer classes are kind of hard. ^^; Maybe it's my professors. But if you want to do computer science and/or engineering, go for it! ;D
I can't really say much else, since I don't really know what major I want to be. My dad suggest that I give this a shot, so I am. Alos because I'm not very good at bio or chem.

(And you're right. My grades for last quarter were just fine!)

I've always been left out of conversations between my housemates because they always talk about Pretty Little Liars. xd Obviously, I don't really watch it. So whenever people talk about it.... I just leave and do my own thing, I guess.

Yup. I'm taking computer-y classes. Well, last quarter (and quarters prior), I was taking a lot of computer programming classes (computer science). This upcoming quarter, I will be taking circuitry classes (engineering stuff). Therefore, I am a Computer Science and Engineer major. cool At least I will be. Soon. emotion_awesome
I'm pretty sure scores are already out. I'm just too afraid to check. ; u ;
