Yes. And some people, when really smart, get to skip that many math classes. Unfortunately, it's based on SAT grades.

What are YOU talking about? You take sixth grade math, seventh, THEN pre-algebra in eighth. You take algebra in ninth! You only get past those if you do very well in math, causing you to skip a grade or two of math.

I hate it. I nearly failed math last year, and the only readon I passed was because I moved to seventh grade math, but somehow I got into Algebra. I mean, seriously? They really expect me to do welll in Algebra when I nearly failed Pre-Al?
