On My Persons List

The "I Want It!" List

The Bio

*Sighs* This is always the toughest for me to do...Talk about myself. I think this is because I never know what will be the most important to tell others what my "essence" is... Now, where to begin...? Ah! I know! I'll start with one of the most important aspects of my life: music. My media playlist that probably started playing when you entered my profile is just a drop in the songs, styles, and artists I listen to. But of course, I also listen to more relaxing songs, too. I guess you could call me eclectic in that regard. My exception is that I haven't taken to rap or songs with a lot of "scream-singing". What I mean my this is that the song has a lot of times when the vocalist is screaming the words in the song. hmm... Music's been a part of my life ever since I can remember, starting from hymns my family and I sang in church. I proceeded to playing piano when I was, maybe... 8 years old... heh! I think I might have started piano because my two older sisters were doing it, but I continued on, even when they quit because I loved doing it. If you ask how good I am, I'd say I'm fair. I'm no beginner, but I'm not advanced, either, so, I guess I'd be intermediate...

I sometimes tend to ramble a bit, so if I seem to, please forgive me. When I was little, I would also make up songs. They tended to be more of rhymes, though, than have actual tunes, unless I meshed some from songs I already knew. But that rhyming took more control, I guess, as I got older, so rather than songs, I'd make up rhymes. I wrote some of them down, but the themes tended toward God and nature, rather than relationships or life. In my final year of high school, I took a creative writing class that really allowed me to spread my wings, so to speak, regarding my writing. It allowed me freedom to write different genres of short stories, and different types of poems. None of my poems are that deep, or thought provoking, but I suppose you're your own worst critic.

I think my love of writing, or even some of my writing style has come from my love of reading books. I love reading adventures and fictions. It's hard for me to pin down a specific genre that I read, considering that if it looks interesting from the first few pages, or the summery, I'll give it a shot, and read it. In fact, before I got my computer, books were a major way for me to pass my time. One of these books sparked a real interest in wolves for me. The book was called Wolf Brother by Michelle Paver, and is the first in a series called The Chronicles of Ancient Darkness. My favorite "breed" of wolf would have to be the Gray Wolf. In my opinion, they are the most beautiful and breathtaking creatures to inhabit North America.

Now, moving on, I think telling some of my generic/typical likes and dislikes would be good. Too much "history" so far... Hm... Well, to start off, If you meet me, or see my room, it wouldn't be hard to guess that my favorite color is purple, but blue and green would come a bit after that in the list. Some of the smells I like (strange topic,eh?) would be Vanilla, lilac, lavender, and some food smells that I can't place at the moment. I like Dogs, Cats, rabbits, cows, horses, hamsters, guinea pigs, and of course, wolves. At home, my favorite place to get away, given that it's not cold, is down by the creek, which is a quarter mile from our house - a simple 10 minute walk. When I'm at college (I'm 20) It's usually the dorm lobby (There's a piano, tv, and internet service. Plus, it's usually quiet.). My favorite things to do (apart from computer and books) is leisure swimming, Bowling, hiking on trails, working on puzzles, giving massages, playing piano, working with my dog (Hanna), Singing, going to youth group, and hanging with friends. My favorite place to be is in Alexandria, MN in the summer time. There's a family camp up there called Mount Carmel. It's located near Lake Carlos. The activities there, the people, everything about that place I love! They have Talent night and a Classical recital that the campers can take part in, and they even have a family choir you can join. It takes my family a day and a half to get there, but the drive is worth it!... Well, I digress... It's about time I start some of my dislikes... right? First off on the list is excessive swearing. I mean, I didn't grow up around it, so I don't and so don't want to hear it (I do anyway, so I'm a little more desensitized to it, but still...). I don't like hypocrites, gossip, or slander. I said it once, I'll say it again: rap - don't care for it! I don't like the cold (but by contradiction, I like snow - especially around Christmas time). I don't like stress, backne, being left out, or being "the last to know".... hmm... Did I have any more?... I don't think so... Not that I can think of right now, anyway.

How would I describe my personality? That's a good question. I guess I'd say that I am a procrastinator, but I'm caring and empathetic. I like to believe the best in people (I think that may be part of the reason why I never had anything against my teachers or really my peers). I don't consider myself funny, or at least as funny as my other sisters. However, I believe myself easily amused/entertained. I've repeatedly had times when my conscience is telling me something (like right now, I'm writing this and it's 2:30 in the morning, it's saying I should get to bed) but I've ignored it nevertheless. I'm repeatedly hard on myself, simply (I believe) because I know what I do when no one is looking. (Pardon, but I feel here, I should digress a bit) But really, Isn't that what most of us do? Whether its staying out past curfew, or giving in to peer pressure, Or even listen to little voices in our heads that say we can't or somehow we don't measure up. (That's utter nonsense by the way. Sometimes we just don't realize that that's just the devil putting those derogatory thoughts in our heads. Sometimes it's not even us, but others who're saying so.)... Phew! Now that that's out of my system... Over all, I don't believe I know what my true heart wants. I tend to be slow to make decisions, especially if it involves food. You could call me a dork if you wanted to, but I'm not sure how far that would apply. I'm reliable and amiable. I care about my family. I'd much prefer a hug to a handshake (though we'd have to work up to that point).

And here, I think I'll end it. If you wanna know more, have any questions, or anything else you think I'd be able to help with, then feel free to PM me.

Regardless if you are or are not here anymore. I will take my leave from your friends list.
Drop me a comment in the future, that we might reconnect and perhaps, you'll begin to see interests again where there is now only vacuity. ★
