It's not quite a con, but there's a double signing event next month with two anime voice actors at a local collectibles store near me: Eric Vale and Luci Christian. My main concern with traveling to Japan is not knowing anyone there. Now if I did, I can save money on hotels.

Sometimes I'm not online for days at a time, so I know how it's like. It'd feel more authentic to attend a Japanese anime con. At least that's how I feel about it. Plus, one can buy Japanese merch that's normal for local residents but foreign and exotic to others.

You could always do a swimsuit or bikini version of your fave anime character. I've seen girls do that at Summer cons, especially on the last day.

Hi, and don't worry about the late reply! I feel the same way about certain world anime and cosplay events that not even NYC can host: World Cosplay Summit. Japan is one of my top vacation destinations for that reason alone. The important thing to remember while cosplaying is to have fun!

Why not try cosplaying characters with simple designs? Oh, no, I meant I'd like for Anime NYC to last a whole week instead of the usual three days. New York Comic Con is the one con I'd love to attend one day! After all, NYCC is where famous actors are invited as guests, not just voice actors. Plus, NYCC is four days. A part of the piggy wants to attend Sci-Fi cons. But they're hard to find.
