Ack . . .sorry it took so long for me to get back to you . . . pleading only extreme business as an excuse. Must agree that pondering the great deep, unanswerable questions of life is more amusing than calculus, but then I would think that shaving my legs with a cheese grater is more fun than calculus. Not really a math person. Pondering in general is fun, and philosophy offers the unique benefit of never having your opinions proven wrong . . .but then, they're never proven right either so it's a rather thankless lot. I used to be sure that there were life-forms in space, after-all, space is so utterly vast and contains so many stars and corresponding planets that it seems arrogant to assume that the unlikely occureences leading to life on earth couldn't be duplicated elsewhere . . .but then, a friend of mine who delves heavily into theoretical physics informed me that the universe might very well be finite . . . whch sorta derails my thinking and throws me into endless confusion.

Sometimes I wonder if it's not possible that those little words we type with each comment we make might not be the components of some huge document or code somewhere . . . I can't believe they're just randomly generated

Yes, but only in a musting,wondering, pondering, brooding "what-if" sorta way. Generally when people actually believe in a universe which is their own illusion, spun by their own minds, and that everything else is false, we refer to them as sociopaths as they tend to pick up the habit of killing people indiscriminately. Why? Is this a thought you frequently entertain? Generally I would find it more believable were the entire universe an illusion, the dream of some sleeping god-figure, however this voilates Descartes "I think therefore I am" as in doubting the universe we prove ourselves capable of thought and hence that we actually exist in some format or another. Of course it's possible that our reality is really a matrix-style deception and that we have no corpreal forms.

I'm sorry that the unicorns you have met are not as amusing as those with whom I am accquainted. They are constantly playing pranks on each other, telling yo mama jokes and puns and funny stories. Altogether they seem to be a rather fun group but it is absolutely impossible to get them to be serious.

Ahhhhhh . . . so that's what those are for.

Wow, I feel pleased and sufficiently snobby that my words were so puzzling. I agree, pygmy marmosets are funny, but moreso just adorable. I like squirrels, so eccentric, rather like a particularly odd given to bouts of unjustified and frenzied action. In terms of animals that are just plain funny, gonna have to go with walrus, they just look ridiculous. Of course, in terms of sense of humor the prize goes to the unicorns, they always tell the best funny stories.

China. The mysterious void from which all of existence was issued forth. Now one must wander if theis mysterious China is sentient. Perhaps it is the mark of our maker, proof of a superior life fore with an odd sense of humor.
