Yes, under the circumstances that's just fine, no I don't see it leading to any confusion at all if the posts are all still following the tack, I honestly don't think it matters who posts the character as long as that's happening and as you say it stops from any hold up when one of you can't post, especially with all the time differences causes delays anyhow. Anything that helps it flow smoothly for everyone I say.
