What a fantabulous profile! I like your layout and message. I do also have a question, though:
What about exotic animals, or any animals that aren't cats and dogs? What's your stance on these? I often see a lot of animal rights people fanatically addressing the horrible cat and dog population problem, but none of the organizations I've seen really have much to do with other animals, like birds, reptiles, fish, other mammals, etc. They either want to ban having them as pets or just put them on the back burner and don't bring them to mind much since people aren't as concerned about "lower" animals who don't show as much human emotion as cats and dogs. What do you think about this? I think you should include your opinion about exotics somewhere on here so people know the other animals (who also have feelings) won't be left out.
.....I saw you supported Petsmart for doing adoptions, and that is nice, but it is kind of inaccurate to say they only adopt out animals, because they don't. A majority of their animals are non cat/dogs who are sold for a profit. Do you agree with selling other animals or should they be rescued as well?
It's really sad to see what these people are doing to these animals... crying I wish this video will open the eyes of the people, for them to help the conditions of poor pets....
i have a comment about the video (not in a bad way.) i volunteer at an animal shelter, and they dont kill animals that dont get adopted. there's a cat that's been there for four years and still hasnt been adopted. don't you think it'd be cool if shelters told you ahead of time if they had kill policies or not. :3. ik i'd like it alot better;though those shelters may get overcrowded then. i guess there's no easy solution xD
I saw your video it made me die inside, Why would people treat animals this way? because humans are acutally animals also each dog, cat, frog, fish, bird ect.
has a life and needs to live it well animals should be treated like most people with a safe home with water and food. I am willing to do anything so that puppy mills will no longer exist. I wish instead of a shelters animals that have no homes will be living in a santuary with lots of trees, grass, food, and water
Yeah...Whats even more supprising, are the people who don't even care. I have three dogs of my own, And all of them are well cared for, and mabey even a little spoiled. Love 'em to death.
Your video is really sad... Seeing that poor dog get thrown into the the dumpster like that really touched me...It's people like the makers of that video, and the members of Green that will put a stop to this...If you can, may I ask that you put this video into a topic in the forums? Others have got to see this.

Hi there! Just wanted to say I appreciate you putting such a sad video in your profile because it's important that people learn about these things. <3 Hope you are well!
PetSmart buys small animals by the thousands to sell to customers, even though breeders often treat their animals very poorly. PetSmart has a poor record of providing sick animals with adequate veterinary care.
PetSmart also admits to using glue traps to "control" rats and mice, which are the same animals the chain sells. When animals get stuck in glue traps and try to escape, patches of their skin and fur are ripped off their bodies. Some animals want to escape so badly that they chew off their own limbs.
From what I gathered from your poorly typed comment, you're telling me that PetsMart adopts out animals with illnesses and diseases? You do know that PetsMart does not own these animals, and that these animals are provided by local shelters, NOT PetsMart, correct? If your local shelter has poorly cared-for animals, that is something you need to settle with the shelter, not with PetsMart. Also buying from pet stores as opposed to adopting from a shelter will almost guarantee an animal with some sort of in-bred, breed-only genetic defect compared to animals from shelters, who are mutts in which dominant genes carry over and recessive, unhealthy genes phase out.
I would also like to see a valid source on your claim of PetsMart using mouse traps to catch and sell mice. I hope you can back that statement up, and provide me with some links, seeing as mice there aren't fighting or jumping out of cages and are relatively tame when handled, compared to wild mice, who are not albino or fancy-colored, who will take the first opportunity to jump out of an open cage. Why would a company sell mice like that to customers? Thank you for commenting on my profile.
