Fireworks stress out our dogs. Every year, our hound hides in our room with us. In our old neighborhood, people would light fireworks the day before, the day of, and then like two days after. It was so annoying. And they'd do it at, like, 1:00 in the morning because you weren't supposed to do it. It's like, "People! SHUT UP, PLEASE!"

OMG yes, it has been WAY too freakin' hot! I'm sorry you had to spend that on your AC! We rent a townhouse, so our AC repairs are covered by the landlord. Good thing, too, because last year the whole unit needed to be replaced. That was probably multiple thousands of dollars. All of the interior machinery removed and replaced, and the condenser unit (the outside fan thing) had to be replaced, too. We spent about a month and a half with a single floor unit in our master bedroom during the height of summer. Lol. That suuuucked!!!

It's not that bad this week - going to be in the 70s. But oh boy, this past week was miserable.
Yeah, I have a dinosaur book that I've had checked out for probably two months now, lol. And a book on Neanderthals. I just keep not reading them.
I also want to write, and I keep not doing that, either! rofl
To be fair, though, I spent four months - from the start of November last year to basically the end of February this year - doing nothing but writing, and I wrote over 300 pages of content across my sci-fi trilogy. That's a lot. Plus those little spooky things I wrote - did you ever get around to reading the one about the door?

Things have been going okay on my end of things. I'm not happy that the weather is getting hotter, because that makes it difficult for me to walk the dogs. x_x
My kids are signed up for a summer reading program through the public library, which is exciting! I've also signed up, and a week has already gone by and I haven't read a single page, lol!
