Hey! My name's Mandy and I'm awesome cos my ego said so. (Kidding of course!)

Music's mah thing, I couldn't live without it. (I play sax in my school's marching band. Yeah, I'm a band geek, so what?)
But yeah, like I said, I love music. I like stuff like Kill Hannah heart , AFI, Boys Like Girls, Goo Goo Dolls, Chiodos, My Chemical Romance, Aerosmith, Guns N Roses, Velvet Revolver, Buckcherry, Taking Back Sunday, Secondhand Serenade, etc...Things of that nature. (You get the idea.)

I don't really fit into any particular stereotype. (Though I get called emo at times. And occasionally skater/punk. Not sure why, but whatever.) Call me what you want...It really doesn't bother me.
And don't try to change me...It won't work. I am who I am and no one can change that.

there are a few ppl who despise me, too! my friends seem to forget that i'm entitled to my opinion, even if it doesn't agree with theirs. so they get pissed at me when i say something that doesn't necessarily agree with what they think.

I can see where you're coming from with your mom. she doesn't sound nearly as bad as my friend's mom, which i'm very, very happy about. I spend ten minutes with that woman and i feel suffocated. My mom freaked out when my friend brought me home once, but then she got over it. congrats on your license soon! i haven't even taken driver's ed yet... User Image

i'm sorry you're mom's so protective! she kind of reminds me of one of my friend's mothers...

but she's probably not neraly as protective as my friend's mom. heh. example: for my 13th birthday, i wanted to go to the mall with my friends. my mom was going to go with us, of course. first, my friend's mom gives me a ration of s**t about going out and taking her daughter with me. second, she insisted that we didn't go on a friday night, which had been my original plan because, well, it was my birthday! on the way over to the mall that saturday, my friend's mom called her twice. TWICE. and then, when we got there, guess who shows up and takes my friend home early? that's right! her mother followed us to the goddam mall! a tiny mall in the middle of a small town, in fact. I was SO pissed. it still makes me angry, and it's been nearly four years now. heh.

so, hopefully this will bring you some comfort? like, it could be worse. much worse.
