About

"Greek Flower Child"
Dionysus is the only god to have a mortal parent. He is the son of Seleme and Zeus. Hera, enraged over her husband's affair, hated Dionysus and tried to kill him and/or make him suffer multiple times, but despite her efforts, he prospered.
The god also goes by Bromius and versions of the Roman Bacchus among other names. He represents all of the escapes mankind has from the evils of the world. Dionysus is known as the god of wine, peace, fertility, Katharsis, drama, mystery, and the arts among many things, and is also the patron god of artists and bards, music, and satyrs.
He travels with his band of revelers, sometimes know as Maenads and has had many forms through time. One is describes by Euripides in The Bacchae, that Dionysus appears as a young and handsome young man with long curling golden hair, fine skin, and sometimes antlers. He wears deer and leopard skins and carries a thyrsus.
Dionysus married Ariadne of the Cyclandic Islands, and gave her the gift of a gold crown as well as the constellation Corena Boreallis. Though that story depends on who you hear it from.
And with that, there is but one thing left to say...
