I'm called Zzyli, it rhymes with chai tea. Off Gaia, I like reading, baking, sewing, and other hand crafts. I use a bicycle as my main form of transportation. On Gaia, I like customising profiles, fishing, and Alchemy.
Ehh, I struggle to split my attention like that on something I'm unfamiliar with. If I want to try to take in a piece of art (any kind of art, really), I try to give it my full attention so that I can absorb what's going on and try to make sense of the artist's intentions. The art doesn't even need to have any deep meaning: it can anything from "I think magical girls and their transformations are really cool and I want to see these people save the day for fun" to "life is meaningless and therefore one should make their own meaning." I can easily split my attention on something I know like the back of my hand, though, lol. I was literally mindlessly playing Ocarina of Time again the other day and it kinda appalled me how zombie-mode I can just power through that game now. Even the Water Temple is totally brain-dead muscle memory. confused That's a little scary to think about. sweatdrop
But, yeah, I completely understand the 'vice-grip obsession' angle. I don't know how far you have been lurking, but uh... the Mario RPGs have me in a death grip again and this time it's Extension Corps purgatory. crying You might be able to see why if you compare them to past character obsessions such as Antasma, Cyrus, and Miror B. gonkPlease let me out of the Character™ pipeline labyrinth, I've been stuck here for months!!cry
Honestly, I hate struggling with sitting down and watching TV shows and anime and stuff. gonk I miss out on so many cool things because I get bored after watching 2 episodes and run off to find something more entertaining. And then I forget I was even watching an episodic show in the first place. crying The struggle is real.
