Kimahri is a Ronso from Mt. Gagazet in Final Fantasy X. He is Yuna's first and most faithful guardian, having known and protected her since she was seven years old. However, Kimahri is not excepted to the other Ronso because of his broken horn and his his short stature for being a Ronso. Kimahri is usually silent because of his shame of having a broken horn. He had sworn to never step foot on to Mt. Ggazet because of his shame, but he still held Yuna's pilgrimage higher than his shame.
Kimahri's guardianship started ten years before Final Fantasy X. After leaving Mt. Gagazet, Kimahri stumbled upon a dying Auron, and was asked to fulfil a promise from the high summoner Braska: he was to take Yuna from Bevelle, then to Besaid where she could grow up with a peaceful life.
Kimahri honored Auron's request and made sure that Yuna arrived at Besaid safely. When his task was completed, he prepared to depart, yet Yuna pleaded with him to remain with her, and he complied.
After the defeat of Sin, the eternal calm came, and Kimahri abidcated by the other Ronso to become the new elder. He faced many obstacles, and overcame them. He was also the start of Yuna's journy after finding a sphere with someone who seemed very familiar.
"One day Ronso path will be clear. This Kimahri believe."
