jellykans, I missed you! I was actually thinking about you recently when I thought about the time when we were Mav's bodyguards.
My grandfather came home on Sunday. He doesn't like sitting still, so he went into his workshop today. He's also off all three blood pressure medications (the doctors felt like the blood pressure medications were a cause of the chest discomfort. He had a stent put in due to a 99% blockage a few weeks prior), but he has to wear the nitroglycerin patch every day and have the patch changed each morning. He's doing quite well for someone who is 86 and people are surprised about his age.
Thank you for being the only person in that thread to care about my grandfather's hospitalization.
I wanted to give you an update on my grandfather. On the day he was supposed to go home, he was feeling pressure on his chest so he's still at the hospital. He was in the hospital a few weeks ago for the same issue, and he got a stent put in due to a 99% blockage. As of now, the only thing they can do is lower his blood pressure medication dosage and having him wear a nitroglycerin patch that needs to be changed every day for the rest of his life. Other than a history of heart issues (triple bypass in 1999) and diabetes, he's in great health for someone who is 86.
