The bus pulls to a stop. I'm almost home. The 17th Thursday of this school year is almost done. Lucas gets off at his house, never liked that kid, too quiet. I rest my head on the window nursing the headache I got in Chemistry, lovingly acquired from the noxious fumes my teacher adores so. Some rustling in the trees drew my attention. Why are we still stopped? It doesn't matter, there is something in the trees. Peering in i see the slightest flash of pink. It's a monkey. A pink monkey just came out of the trees. I've heard they are rare, especially in this region of Ontario. The other kids see it too. The monkey keeps getting closer to the bus and jumping around. I sit and stare at is as all around shouts are shouted to the bus driver: "Mary-Kay don't go, you'll hit the monkey" and the like. Mary-Kay looks out her window and sees the monkey getting too close to the bus. If she drove forward it could get hit by one of the wheels. This is a problem. With that in mind and weighing the issue thoroughly, she opens her window and calls the monkey into the bus. Up hops the monkey into the bus and walks along a few seat back then jumps down into the aisle walking further to the back, then up on to my seat and sits on my lap. It wanted my glass of orange juice.

Arriving home I introduce the pink monkey to my parents and sister and dog. My dog did not take a liking to my pink monkey but I'm allowed to keep it.

A few days later I can't find my pink monkey so I run outside in a frantic state of shock and ask my sister frantically where the pink monkey is. Very nonchalantly she points to the roof. Perched on the grey shingles is a mass of pink fur. My pink monkey. My dog didn't eat it. As I frantically feared. I went to my step mother and told her that if we are to keep the pink monkey we need to do some research to see what it eats. She starts to cry. Tomorrow I say. She nods and I walk away. Its best not to talk to her after her loss.

Lmao, that was so random. My dog didnt quite get along with the pink monkey...probably cause he was too freaked out from the fabulousness of the monkey...xD
