Hello. I'd just like to ask on what's a better technique for a stalling tank to use, Double Team, or Protect? Double Team, as I see it, is more effective in the long run, while Protect is instant. But Toxic doesn't kill that fast, and Umbreon won't survive that long either. I'm confused. Help?

double team doesn't have a chance of not working if you use it consecutively. Plus, toxic has to hit mind you before it does anything. My suggestion...double team and a berry that heals poison.

Dythnix you can always use double team and put the foe 2 sleep while you build it up he wants to use toxic,so it wont work,i suggest this @lum berry -toxic -protect -moonlight -anything you use protect to block, then moonlight everyother turn, trust me you'll last, and toxic will kill, and lum will aid in defense, pretty damn good moveset,i think

Not that good, huh? And on Moonlight, isn't it weather/time dependent?

Rarjaro's set is completely owned by anything with substitute, unless it has roar/whirlwind or an attacking move, or just a steel type in general since it's immune to toxic and resistant to dark which won't do much damage anyway. Also, you only have 3 moonlights agianst foes with pressure, and 4 with max PP.
Speaking of Substitute, it would be a better choice than protect. Subsitute can only be broken by something that hits it, or takes it away with a special effect. My set would be:
Double Team Substitute Toxic Dark Pulse/Dig
Dig is to get steels, or Dark Pulse for more damage. Either way it stinks. Umbreon doesn't have a movepool or stats other than in HP and defenses. It would be nice if he had night shade or something that does a set amount of damage cause his attack stats suck. Leftovers will do the healing cause they won't be able to hit you, and if they do, it will be hitting your substitute, which you can just make another of. Dark pulse when you have max evasion and a sub up and sub when you don't have one already.
Also keep in mind that Double team is banned in most tournaments I think.

On Moonlight against Pressure, since it's used on you, I don't think pressure will affect it, since it's 2 pp for attacks used on you, and moonlight isn't used on the opponent. I'm just saying. So, on that, considering and assuming DT is baned... Umbreon @ Leftovers Moonlight Substitute Toxic Dark Pulse/Dig I suppose if you're willing to use TMs over and over trading for them, you can always sub out DP/Dig...but then it's ultimately on Umbreon you want to have, I suppose....

Substitute is only to take advantage of your opponent missing so it is pointless without DT. Moonlight is affected by pressure I'm pretty sure. The description is that it doubles PP used.

Isn't there a tournament rule called an "Evasion Clause"? I'm just wondering what that means since it obviously pertains to DT
