Ok, I've got a question. How do you feel about phalluses in your girl on girl erotica?

Personally, if I'm reading that kind of stuff, I'm not there for a mock c**k and I'd rather read about the girls than their various toys. If I want to read about a c**k, I'll pick up some het or yaoi.

I'm not saying that they shouldn't use them ever, I just notice that they're used way too much. If you're reading girl/girl material, shouldn't it focus on the girls? If anything, the strong presence of the phallus in girl love material suggests that the people producing it see this as some sort of deficiency on the girls' parts. They do not have a c**k, therefore they must make up for that lack with a fake one. Obviously, the only way to stimulate their partner is through insertion of a phallic item be it fingers or toys or whatever. I think that's BS.

I don't hate the c**k, I just resent how it's often made out as a compulsory item required for all erotica. It's not! Most of those fetishes aren't just Japanese. I think it's just that Japanese pr0n's either more easily accessible or the best quality. Those are the only reasons I can come up with as to why it's so prevalent. The only fetishes that seems to be Japanese in origins is panties and tentacles. I've seen so crazy nostril fetish stuff, she-male stuff, punching and so on being produce in non-Asian countries. A lot of that stuff is really very scary when not 2D. XD

Anyway to get back on topic... I think one of the biggest problems is that most yuri is written by straight people for straight people. They have a completely different idea of what sex between two women is and should be like as oppose to lesbians who create yuri for lesbians. I agree with EndlessD...There's no real point to pleasuring a d***o. Seriously, it's not like it's got the nerve endings to feel anything. The male authors and male target audiences can definitely be a problem for the quality of yuri releases, I think. I find that a lot of things written by and for straight males are just not that appealing to me, often for reasons like those mentioned so far in this thread.

There are definitely some exceptions, though. If anyone's ever read Maka-Maka, you'll know what I mean. Evidently the author of the series is male, but it's a beautifully written and illustrated manga. It's explicit and there's sex in every (and I do mean every) chapter, but the relationship between the girls is similarly explored in every chapter. There's a definite bond between them and it's always consensual. I also can't remember a single instance of them using anything other than fingers, lips, tongue, and so on. It's a great work, and I highly recommend it. Very cute.
