STORY
What will happen when Sasuke disappears for a while leaving Juugo in charge? Will something happen between Suigetsu and Karin?...Or will they just kill eachother? And where did Sasuke go?
((I just realized that that sounds like a fanfiction summary))

It was night-time, the woods held sounds of crickets and owls hooting in the night. Suigetsu, along with the rest of Team Hebi, were seating around the camp-fire, sharing a peaceful silence for once. Juugo was staring intently at the flames, and Suigetsu was taking a sip of water from his canteen.

Sasuke sat next to Suigetsu switching back and forth from glaring at the flames and glaring at Karin. Slowly, she was moving closer...and closer...and closer to him until he almost swore in another minute she'd be sitting in his lap. "Karin...go away," he said before standing up and walking away to train before he went to sleep.

Suigetsu noticed the exchange with an almost angry expression. But he covered it quickly with a smirk in Karin's direction and made his way over to her. "Aw, poor baka. Rejected again?" He teased shamelessly.
Juugo rolled his eyes slightly, folding his arms and leaning back against a tree- bored.

Karin glared at Suigetsu and tried to resist the desire to slap him for the thirty-seventh time that day. She looked over at Sasuke and sighed...why didn't he like her? And why did he keep whispering about Sakura trees in his sleep? When Suigetsu had pointed out that Sakura might be a girl, and not just a tree Karin had practically killed him. Karin stopped looking at Sasuke and returned to staring at the fire.

Suigetsu snorted at her reaction. 'She must be tired. Normally she would've made an attempt to hit me...' He made a face and reclined back against a rock.
Juugo rolled his eyes at the brief exchange and sat up slightly. "Sasuke's been acting differently lately..." He spoke out quietly. (Ps. I'm a SasuSaku fan! This story will work! smile )

((CHA! Aren't we all SasuSaku fans at heart?...at least I like to believe we are.))
Karin looked up at Juugo. "What do you mean different?" she asked.
Sasuke looked over at that very moment, almost like he knew they were talking about him. After a couple seconds he stopped watching and resumed his training.

"He's been training a lot more... spacing out... and those dreams..." Juugo explained simply, arms folded, gauging Karin and Suigetsu's expressions.
Suigetsu only rolled his eyes and folded his arms as well. "It's a phase I'm sure. Can't be anything MAJOR."

"I don't think there's anything wrong with Sasuke!" Karin half-said half-yelled as she narrowed her eyes into a glare. "There's nothing wrong with training...he has a goal and who cares if he's been dreaming about some trees! Maybe he just likes them!"

"Karin!" Suigetsu shouted and sat up with an irritated expression. "WHY would Sasuke be obcessed with trees! He doesn't seem like that kind of 'Hey! I'm going to hug a tree!' type person! It's a girl, and you know it!" He growled, tired of her insessant talk of Sasuke. Did the girl talk about ANYTHING else?
Juugo rolled his eyes, seeing a quarrel coming on, and sat back again- wondering why he even brought the subject up.

"SASUKE DOESN'T LIKE GIRLS!" Karin yelled without thinking about the various ways that could be understood.
Sasuke, of course, heard this comment and he just happened to be one of those people that understood it differently than Karin had. He immediatly began to walk over to the rest of the team ready to kill the first person who agreed with said statement.

"IT'S NOT A TREE, DAMMIT! Don't you THINK Sasuke had a past?! Do you THINK at ALL?!" Suigetsu stood up, glaring right into Karin's eyes.
Juugo smirked, eyes closed- humored by what was unfolding.

Sasuke stopped a few feet away from where Suigetsu and Karin were fighting and began to listen to the argument. He wasn't surprised when he heard that the argument was about him but...what did trees have to do with anything?
"Of course I think Suigetsu, I'm not a brainless mutant like you!" she yelled back, glaring as hard as she could. "I know he has a past...and who's to say it doesn't include a little tree hugging!?!"

"HE'S A FREAKIN AVENGER, BAKA!! He DOESN'T hug trees, I'm SURE! Just ask him yourself!" Suigetsu roared back, half-gesturing to Sasuke who was not far from the scene.
Juugo's eyes opened to look up at Karin and Suigetsu and then Sasuke.
