There are so many ideas for Mr. Dark but all of which I want to keep to myself. There is one thing, however, that I could share.

He is an Unmade that was 'born' in an old, burnt out and abandoned factory of questionable original purpose. He continues to live in this factory, doing what? Well that's a little uncertain.
