~_~If My Mind Can Conceive It and My Heart Can~_~Trading and Wifi are basically the same type of thing but this is more towards Battling also. So if there is someone here that you want to battle go ahead and switch friend codes. You'll find out the friend code once you get the game I guess.
Wifi basically means that you get to play online. Simply as that. You either have it in your laptop or have an adapter. ~_~Believe It, I Know I Can Achieve It~_~

so basically all i need is a laptop with internet connection and the adapter and i have wifi? or does wifi need to be ordered? little short on $$$

You can probably find a wireless router for less than 40 dollar (hopefully) try geeks.com and see if they have any for cheap. You'll need about 20+ dollars wether you get a computer and use the wifi adapter or you get a wireless router anyway.
You can always try to find places with free wireless.

well i do have wireless internet on my laptop, so does that mean all i need is the adapter to put on my laptop, and wualah, wifi?

You mean you have wireless via a connection card on your laptop? Or that your laptop connects to a wireless router. If it connects to a wireless router you already have Wifi just read the documentation and online tutorials at a place like Gamefaqs.com or Gamespot.com on how to connect to it.

The DS is a little bit of a pain though. Those walk throughs will walk you through it, and I went to college for networking, but it was difficult to get my Nintendo DS online.
