My mom nearly found out that I was bisexual the other day... It was very close. What happened was that I had some "Gay Stuff" (PM me if you want to know what it was) stashed in my backpack and that day I had lost this envelope with my resumes in it, my mom went to go through my backpack looking for it and I was very exasperated as I had lost the envelope, so I got frustrated and told her I already went through it because I had gone to the gym earlier in the day to keep her out of it. (This was a partial truth.) What should I do, lovelies?

Well consider three things:
1. What is the worst way she could react if you told her you are bisexual?
2. What is the best way she could react?
3. Now, carefully consider who she is, what her personality is, what her moral and religous views are. Now think, what is the most likely way she will react?

I didn't think that through when I told my dad, and he had a heart attack... literally. eek Think it over and then make a decision... and, not to sound offensive, but in her mind it may come to "well... at least he's not GAY!" 3nodding

Daisy's three things are definitely ones to consider.
I myself can't think of what I would do. My mother and I are so open with everything. I know she wouldn't have a problem, but I'm not naive enough to think that everyone is as accepting.
Ask yourself how your mother responds to other bisexual or homosexual acts she sees either in public or in the movies. Does she get uncomfortable? People are usually uncomfortable in the things they don't understand, which does not mean they wouldn't be willing to learn.

Dont know what to say to ya hun. Personally, i cannot see how any parent could disown their own daughter/son just for bieng gay. but, some people are pretty harsh on their beliefs out there.
Just, wait for the right moment i guess.

It's best to be honest but if you would prefer to leave your mom in the dark you could always tell her that the gay stuff you were holding on to for a friend of yours for she left her stuff accidently with you when she got a important call and just absentmindly left her stuff with you.
Or it doesn't have to be a call, your friend could have gotten distracted or something.
It is actullt best to be honest but I do know of a girl that her mom found out she was gay and the mom actully went to the school and forced a message over the intercom basically stating that the girl was gay.
Now, talk about feeling mortified so to speak.
I honestly felt bad for the girl.
