What are some safety tips that you would give to people who are planning to travel to a foreign country or to some far away place?
Here are mine:
Find out what vaccinations you should get before traveling to a country and make sure you get them! Other countries have diseases that might not be around in yours. Make sure you prepare yourself!
Don't keep too much money in your wallet! This tends to attract pick pockets and thieves if they see you buying stuff with large denomination bills.
If you're travelling to an unfamiliar place, make sure you carry a map of that place with you.

Carry all personal and expensive items with you at all times.
Erm..I dunno. I think it all comes down to common sense.

I would suggest that you get your travel money exchanged to a country's currency before traveling there if possible. This will save you having to do it later on in a foreign airport where you don't speak the language and don't know your way around.
I don't recommend traveling alone in foreign countries, but if you must do so, I recommend that you leave a copy of your travel plans with a friend or family member so that they know where you should be and all that in case you get lost, kidnapped, robbed, etc.
