What are your favorite travel souvenirs that you you have ever bought or been given? What countries do you want to go to and what kind of souvenirs would you like to buy there? What kind of souvenirs would you recommend to someone visiting in your town/county/state/country?
Feel free to post pictures of souvenirs that you have, want to buy, and or would recommend to others. I will also post some pictures of souvenirs here in a couple of days.

Most of the best souvenirs I've ever owned come from the Philippines. My family bought tons of batik print fabrics heart heart heart , sea shells, woven grass mats, etc. while we lived there. When I go home to my Dad's place for the weekend, I'll have to try to remember to upload and post some photographs of the Philippines . It's amazing! So beautiful! I can't wait to share some pictures with you all! ^_^

I'm planning to take a vacation in Japan sometime in the next 3 years. While I'm there, I'd like to buy:
clothes! (Japanese fashion is really hot and edgy) a yukata or kimono traditional wooden Geta sandals a bento box, maybe anime-related souvenirs

My favourite souvenirs? I didn't really get anything cool from Hawaii, but I got a lot of stuff from Japan. xd
Non traditional thingies:
This very sexy Gackt tour book: http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b320/Thalionfea/Japan/GacktBook.jpg (he's one of my favourite Japanese singers)
My Squenix Schwag:

My Moogle and Squall figure:

My Trinity Blood Artbook:

All those guys on the bottom shelf:

Aaand a bunch of manga and doujinshi.
My more traditional gifts include fans, dolls, tea, etc. I don't have pictures of them uploaded just yet, unfortunately. I can do that tomorrow probably.

I only scanned the one since I don't want to risk breaking the binding:

Aaand some of my traditional souvenirs:
The bottom Katana was sent to my father from the father of the family I stayed with. It was in their family for 25 generations (it's even got nicks and cuts in the blade O_o). The top Wakizashi is just one that we bought here. ^^
My folding fans. I love these things. I've got 9 more fans but they're not really the traditional style. There's also the Nara Uchiwa that my Japanese Mom sent us, but I forgot to take a picture of it. sweatdrop
Various knick knacks. The doll on the left is mine, the one on the right I got for my Mother. Sorry about the reflection, I couldn't get the case to open. sweatdrop

eek Wow! Oh my gosh! Wow! Thanks for posting these amazing pictures!
Awesome picture of Gackt!
The katanas - wow! The old one was in his family for 25 generations? Amazing! Knicks and cuts in the blade? Wow! Sounds like it's been used in fights! eek
What gorgeous fans! The dolls and and other knick-knacks are gorgeous too!
Gosh, I wish I was in Japan right now! It's gonna be awhile before I can go, but the more I read about Japan, the more pictures I see, etc. the more I just can't wait to go!

My pleasure. ^.^
Gackt: That's from the performance of one of my favourite songs...and I just plain like his coat.
Katana: Yeah, I'm thinking it was used. I don't know much about my Japanese family's history, but they're pretty traditional.
Fans: I love fans, especially the folding type. Add cherry blossom patterns to the mix and they're sold!
^^ I wish I was in Japan right now too. Actually April/May is a great time to go as it's Cherry Blossom season.
