So...I'm coming up with a fictional language for a story I'm working on. I've got a little bit done, but I'm afraid to keep working on it. I don't want to screw the whole thing up...--

Any tips on creating new languages??--

I'd say base it off of a pre-existing language that you know pretty well and then go from there. Make sure it's consistent, and can be said, or you might make someone's head explode. :O
