A place to show off your pictures of your most recent or past cosplays and tell us all about the fun you had.Of course I'll start this off: Quote: Although I haven't been to a convention in over a year, cosplay is something that has always been a part of my life. It's something I really enjoy. If there is a reason to be in charactor you better believe I'm there. Even if there's no reason, I'll make a reason and just dress up.
I must admit however, that lately I hadn't been as into as I have been in the past but I'm starting to get back in the gove of things.
My last cosplay was last year halloween. I had never dressed up as Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz so I decided to go for it this past year.Pictures
In the past I've done so many cosplays since I was a kid, usually my mom would make my costumes and as I got older I started to make my own. These are just a few of my Favorite most recent cosplays
Jesee | Pokemon's Team Rocket Wenda | Where's Waldo Butterfly | Original creation
I have a cosplay gallery here: Gallery
Although I still need to upload more pictures. As soon as I get my Scanner working I'll post some pic's of the costumes I just listed. (( I didn't have a digital back then))

Haven't cosplayed anything in a while, but I figured I might as well post some samples of my older Cos. They're nothing special, tho ^^; One of my first Cos: Sailor Venus // Sailor Moon (sorry for the crappy CG, wish I'd have the original pics -.- Outfits are Seramyu-style, btw) Rosa Gigantea // Maria-sama ga miteru Lenne // Final Fantasy X-II (yupp, mainstream-Cos, I know. Only did it for a friend, whose Cos I'm also wearing XD) Alice // Kingdom Hearts (Halloween-town version, designed by a friend) Uchiha Sasuke // Naruto (Another mainstream Cos, and once again only did cos a friend wanted me to XD) Uchiha Itachi // Naruto (and the last of my mainstream Cos. But I'm actually rather fond of that one, even tho I made it in only one night *lol*)

This is a pic of the only two cosplays I've made by myself. They're not great, but for a beginer with no formal sewing experience, I think they came out pretty good! I'm the Roxas in the picture, but I made both costumes as well as all three keyblades. I had made Sora for an earlier convention, and let my friend borrow it for this one. She made a better Sora though sweatdrop I heart my oathkeeper I have one other cosplay too but no good pictures of it, sadly. It was Rose from Legend of dragoon. I plan on attempting the costume again by myself so I'll take some good pics then. The only picture I have is completely out of character because my mom took it and she said she wouldn't take it until I smiled. LOL! Silly parents.

Very cool Zikara! I heart Kingdom Hearts, though I have nor a Playstation 2, nor the game; a friend has it and I just love the game!

*luffs* Thank you! That means so much to me heart I was pretty proud of them to be honest. Although, after making them I found out that I did a lot of things the hard way, or incorrectly, but they looked good, and I guess that's what matters most sweatdrop Emily's_gone_mad You gota tell me how ya made those keyblades? I plan on doing a Sora cosplay in the future. The kingdom key was made mainly from a thick dowel rod I and some wood boards I got at Hoby Loby. My dad helped me drill out a grove in the dowel to attach the handle pieces on both sides, and the "key" part at the other end. The rest was just gluing them in place and painting it along with adding the keychain in the back. The oathkeeper and oblivion took more creativity and a LOT more time, but came out better in the long run. I started with some 1 inch styrofoam board (also found at Hoby loby). I drew out the outline onto the styro foam, and used a styrofoam heat-cutting tool to cut it out. Once it was all cut out, I covered it in styrofoam paint which is specially made to fill in the rough holes, and then covered it in about 5-10 layers of gesso for added smoothness and protection. After lightly sanding down the edges, I then painted it, and finished it buy using a epoxy wood finisher (can be found at home depo or other hardware store) which is equal to about 60 coats of varnish. It gave it a nice shine and also made it incredibly sturdy without making it too heavy. It was mainly trial and error with them. I had no idea what I was doing, and the first few times I failed miserably, but they looked great in the end. Also, I due to lack of time, I didn't epoxy the oblivion keyblade. Big mistake. It broke on the way home gonk You can see them better here if you want: Oathkeeper in progress after gessoSame as above but close up Finished OathkeeperFinished OblivionMe as Sora with Kingdom KeySorry I don't have better pics of the kingdom key and oblivion. I didn't think to take pictures of them by themselves I guess neutral

Oh and I saw you said you wanted to see more of my cosplay pics on my into thread, so I decided I'd post them here since it makes more sence. Sadly, being a n00b to the cosplay world, it never really occured to me at the time to take GOOD pictures of my costumes. LOL! I learned my lesson shortly after sweatdrop Sadly one of the best FULL COSTUME pics of my friend as SoraMe as RoxasMe as Sora with my friendsMe as Rose from Legend of DragoonOkay, I just have to speak in behalf of the Rose cosplay. I hate that picture gonk but like I said before, my mom said she wouldn't take it until I smiled. Something about how I looked unhappy...but I was suppose to! Bah. Well, anywho, Rose was my first cosplay EVER, and it really showed, although it's not too bad from the picture itself. My mom literally taught me how to sew while we made it together, and it was a heck of a first time sewing project. Now that I have more experience, I plan on remaking it for Ikasucon this summer and I'm hoping to do a MUCH better job. Especially on the weapon. I'm doing a different weapon with a totally different technique.

Your not a begginner you liar! Your wayy too good! LOL! Thank you so much! Halloween town Sora seem like a chalenge. I wanted to do it once because one convention in my area was the day before halloween. I thought it'd be cool, but it was too much work and I didn't have enough time so I did Roxas instead. Good luck on it! If I can be of any help at all just let me know! Oh, and I promise I really am a beginner. Those three costumes are the only three things I've sewed in my life, and like I said, I learned while doing the first lol. If you inspected them you could probably tell. A lot of rough edges and stuff and a lot of mistakes, but somehow I guess I have a talent for makeing it look good from the outside, which I guess when cosplaying is what's most important (unless you're entering a contest for craftsmanship). And see, I'm kinda OCD at times. I'm obsessed with getting the details as perfect as possible so that's probably why it looks good on the outside haha. I'm getting better though! I've learned alot through practice. I'm really excited about starting my next two costumes I have planed. 3nodding
