Ok, getting past that foray into japanese culture... currently there is some stuff going down in the weyr bowl. It's a non-fall day so people are relaxing. If Raya perhaps brought Xiaoth (sp?) out to scrub her in the lake or have her go pick a meal out of the herd, she could run into the injured blue that just came in. Queenrider Sora is there and they are waiting on J'roh, the weyrhealer. She could perhaps ask to lend assistance, whatever you like. Also, there are new wing rosters in the lower caverns she can look at, but I don't think any other characters there at the moment though.
Oh, and Ha'orn and his bronze have just flown down into the bowl and don't have anyone to interact with yet. 3nodding So pick one.

Perhaps this should have been the first place I posted, but I'm used to plunging into the middle of things once I have the gist of what's going on. Name's Josie, as is my character's name. That's a... well, not a particularly long story, but it isn't a short one.
I'm a fifteen year-old Californian whose been a member of Gaia for... two years? Two and a half? Check my profile (I forget). I've got well over fifteen thousand posts, and though the only ones you can see by following my posts are my bumps (insanely literate bumps, those are xp ) that's because I spend a good deal of my time in the guilds. I belong to five in which I post a great deal.
Nice to meet everyone. Sorry if my posting style is a little unorthodox -I like following stories, but the only ones I've joined have turned out to be free-formed with a basic plot that will never be fulfilled. sweatdrop

With our RP you have to aware of some of the stuff going on before you get started. That's why I put this thread up. 3nodding Story summary is pretty up to date so you may wish to check that out.
Ok, well, your character is already in the RP so you can just go from there. H'ran, the Weyrlingmaster, has just had his dragon, the brown Forth, relay some instructions to the weyrlings a recent post. (It's one of mine, brown text.)

Mm'k. I'll get right on that, but I won't be on much longer tonight (I'm just dropping in). I think you guys are in a different time zone than I am -I'm a Californian, and it's almost ten right now. That's with Day Light Savings Time up and running (making it around eleven normally). xp

Welcome to the guild DragonDance! Name's Emathai and my character is Evabrie, rider of green Niadeeth (a weyrling of the latest clutch which hatched almost 2 RP days ago. her profile's the second one on the third page in the profile thread) Currently, a sudden and early snow storm has hit Telgar Weyr and all of the Weyrlings were moved from the barracks to the Hatching Grounds. The fledglings are asleep on the Sands and their riders have bunked up in the rooms surrounding the Grounds. Most have just finished eating and are on their way to bed, so I'm not sure when you'll get someone to interact with. (I'd offer, but Evabrie and Niadeeth are already asleep sweatdrop ). Actually, we've been tossing around the idea of a time jump until the most recent weyrlings can fly and are about to join the fighting ranks, but it'll prolly take us a couple days to actually do it. Gomen ne that you're kinda coming in at such a transitional time, perhaps we'll jump to morning soon and we can get your character going before the time jump 3nodding . Let us know if you have any more questions!

Hmm, I'll wait til either morning or the time jump then. Either would actually be rather convenient for my character since he's not an official rider yet. Darn those flying tests.

Hmm, well, within the week or so we'll be having an 18 month time jump, when the newly hatched weyrlings are just having their final tests to join the fighting wings, so if you want a weyrling, don't worry, you won't be stuck with oiling and feeding as your only rping options biggrin . Though more adult browns or blues are always welcome!
