*ONLY READ THIS IF YOU HAVE SEEN/READ CHOBITS!*
Is it just me... or is Nyu and Chii both VERY similiar characters? I mean, when Nyu first started living with Kouta, all she could say was "Nyu" And when Chii lived with Hideki all she could say was "Chii" Both Kouta and Hideki have to teach their girls how to speak, and with that both of the girls have some type of "dark" side to them! @__@'

Kinda funny.. Me and my friend have a Chobits/Elfen Lied based rp, Because we thought Chii and Nyu would be really cute together. We made Kouta and Hideki cousins, And Hideki and Chii went to visit Kouta at the Inn. But eh back to the point.. The clueless girl thing is popular, Its used in a lot of animes.. I had a character a cat girl who could only say "mew" And it went through a similar plot line as Elfen Lied, But I threw my story away when I heared about Elfen Lied. I saw no point on posting it, Because alot of the scenes were similar, And mine had been written before I knew anything about Elfen Lied. Or Chobits for the matter. I figured if I posted it, People would think I was copying. So I threw it out >.< Anyway.. Yeah.. They are similar.. but I dont think it was intentional.. I mean has anyone seen or read DearS? Its like the same as Chobits in the beginning.. Only with an alien girl.. >.> A very cute one might I add... but Still.. He still has to teach the girl everything at first...

The same could be said with any character from Higurashi no Naku Koro ni. Cute, nice...at first. Then the dark side comes out. But Chii does come closer to Nyu.

I'd say that that's the only real similarity though... Elda's quite a bit different than Lucy... ^^;;

Everytime I see Elfen Lied I think of Chobits
But Elfen Lied is better because of the killing and the plot goes deeper
