Juan Ramirez was born Tak Ne, a Nubian living in ancient Egypt. From an early age, he could weild a scimitar exellently. In battle, he was unmatched. Once, he even defeated the Pharaoh himself in single combat.
Of course, this got a rise out of a few spectators, including one Graham Ashe. Ashe sensed his immortality, and taught him about it. He made him even better with a sword, and finally, Ramirez was able to defeat Ashe himself. Ashe, though he loved life, decided that Ramirez would need his power to continue living and win the game. He offered Tak Ne his head, but he refused it, a mistake that would later cost him his life. Tak Ne and Ashe parted ways soon afterwards. Tak Ne decided it would be best to change his name with every journey, making him harder to track. He battled many a foe, always winning, never a challenge. That is, until he went to Babylon. During an adventure in Babylon, Tak Ne, now Jeromiah, met another immortal without a name. He battled this immortal for three days before defeating him. He spared the immortal's life, and left. He soon learned that the immortal's name was the Kurgan.He met the Kurgan two more times, narrowly defeating him both times, and against his better judgement, sparing him. He heard that the Kurgan was on a killing spree, and no immoortal could face him and live. For a while, he lived in peace in the country of Japan, marrying Shakiko, and through a series of events, recieving a sword from her father. Much later, Shakiko died, and he was shattered. He left for spain, becoming the best metallurgist there, and finally left after hearing of an immortal who survived a Kurgan encounter, and the rest is history. He was then resurected by Duncan to help defeat ahriman for the last time at the Gathering.
