Wow, it is amazing that gas prices have dropped almost a dollar in someplaces, and in less than 2 weeks. Do you think that gasoline prices are based on the cost of crude oil, or do you have other ideas...let's discuss the current situation.

On the whole yes, petrol and diesel prices are based on the cost of crude oil. Over here in the UK prices of fuel are constantly going up because crude oil stocks are running low and because the tax keeps going up as well. As for the drop in the prices in the US, I reckon its because you've got an election coming up but that's just my opinion...or maybe because the US has found another source of crude oil and can justify lowering the prices.

I agree with Vox I live in scotland and the prices are up and down like a yoyo here..at the moment here low but I remember when I had my moped and was paying 30p a leter now its a £1 a leter its insane..so ive started walking allot more despite my dodgy knee

Sheesh...here in NorCal it's dropped all of, like, 35 cents. It sucks royaly! Gas was about $2.55 a gallon when I got it today. scream

I'll be perfectly honest. I'm happy to see gas prices drop (where I'm at, gas is around $1.95) but I honestly don't think it will last. I really don't.

Ruddy hell petrol is rediculously cheap where you are compared to us poor sodds in the UK! Also random question are you a spiner fem...??

There has been a gas war going on here for about a month. I think it's down to 1.80 right now. I remember, back when I was like 18, there was always a gas war going on. Gas was like 50 cents a gallon back then.
