Everyone knows that wars rage all around us….
Everyday, never seen…
There are the wars within the people we meet…
The wars behind closed doors we pass….
Wars that we hear of on the news or the radio…. And of course, wars of the spirit realm…
Then there are the wars… of the darkness….
There are some of us that live amongst the clueless humans. The ones that eat, drink, work, even live with those that would hunt our kind. We are more human than our ancestors, less human than our fellow men. They don’t know… they couldn’t.
We are those that live off of life. The Day Demons. The vampires that have adapted to live above ground. We are few and far between, and hated by those still forced to live underground. The nightwalkers that feed on humans mercilessly and hunt my kind out of jealousy. They are not all evil, as my kind are not all saints, but our two sides have fought longer than anyone can remember.
But now there is a new fight to be fought and won. One too many humans have been slain, and one of my own kin has been killed by humans demanding blood. Not only do the Day Demons blame the Nightwalkers for this loss, but we are now realizing that we must work with them….
I am sick of their humanity! Such lofty beast are those damned Day Demons, I’d like to see them burn.
Now our leaders have said that we have been careless and the humans are on our trail. Instead of killing those sissy bastards we must work side by side with them as if they were our equal….

**All Gaian rules apply as well as any rules I or my comrade may add. He knows who he is… and if you don’t know you are he… you aren’t.
1) The Most important rule is that you CHECK THE FIRST PAGE OFTEN. I plan on posting updates and announcements here and as rules are subject to change and/or expansion… Check it.
You Have No Reason To Not Know What Is Going On… I may or may not remind you…
2) Romance is fine. Cybering is not. Remember that this thread is not about romance. The Day Demons are much more romantic than the Night walkers are… take that into consideration…
3) Violence is fine. Godmoding is not. Killing off your own character is fine… Give I or my comrade warning and it would be nice to give everyone else warning as well… If you have secret plans that you want no one to know of till the moment it happens, Fine. I have no problems with that… but I or my comrade should know…
Killing off other peoples characters must be okayed with that person and they must give The Master and Mistress of this thread warning as stated above.
4) Trust us. We are lenient and kind…. Most of the time….
5) Keep long, unannounced absences to a minimum… We are forgiving, so no worries if things come up. And if you have a good excuse… we will never know if you are lieing…

6) Keep as much OOC in the OOC thread as possable. Only short statmens or anouncements of your leaving. If you are confused about what just happened, put this:

Bio: I tried to run from the war. Pretend it wasn’t there, but when the friend of mine was “Caught” preying on a human and killed for it, I was ready go slaughter everyone of those damned Night Beasts. I went to the oldest Day Demon and he told those of us gathered that we would have to join forces with them.

Bio: My family was killed by night walkers when I was 16. I didn’t go to a home instead I live out on the streets, until I was bitten as well. I survived but became infected and slowly I evolved into a vampire. What surprised me was that I was taken in by the family of the very man who changed my life forever. He said I that since I survived I was now family and he also offered me the change to take revenge. What choice did I have? I stayed with them and got an education. Now I am on my own and have never loved life more.

Appearance: Addition: She has black wings, but she can retract them. It is painful to bring them out again after long periods of time of keeping them in.
Bio: I am a Day Demon, working with the Nightwalkers. I shun my own kind, turning my back on them, for they are too soft. Now I must once again return to them, work with them. I will be lucky if they decide to leave me alive. After all, I betrayed them.

Their reckless feeding has brought damnation to us, and the humans have learned of our existance as something more than a myth of fairytale to tell little children. No... We are hunted... Even though I am much more like the humans than the others... The Nightwalkers and Day Demons... Vampires everywhere are hard pressed.
But I will not join with them to help them. They have brought this upon themselves, and thus they shall either survive, or they will die. Vampires are begotten from humankind... Therefore we must respect them, protect them. That is what my maker told me before he sealed himself within me... and I plan to do so.

HEY!! I realized that I better put this here...
Day Demons are made by the mixing of a human and a Nightwalker... BUT the Night walkers CAN'T get pregnant so the Father is always the Night walker... Day demons can have kids though it is not unheard of for them to be steral.
Like other things, alowances can be made if you wish to add a twist someplace.. but LET US KNOW FIRST!

The Differences
Day demons and Night Walkers have quite a few differences in behavior and abilities. Here is a list as some of you seem confused….
The first thing to point out is neither are your typical undead vampire. The only ones that are the Night walkers. The Day demons are those borne of human and Night walkers, they are the Life elementals and they need fresh blood from something living… oh say... twice a month, but I am letting the whole stake thing work because we are already in it.
Night walkers:
-Drain their pray when feeding
-Can turn humans to vampires by a vary complicated means and the only ones that can do that are those sent by the Master or Mistress. (these have the ability to change and are not suposed to change people unless told)
- Can not go out in the sun, (Though Felistia can go into filtered sun i.e. though windows)
- Can not cross running water (I don’t know why… that’s just how it is)
- Can not come into a room or what not with out being invited (Again… no clue why, just trying to use some things familiar to ya’ll)
Day Demon’s
-May drain their pray, but only eat animals from the woods or pet store ( Some have a few animals that the feed off of every so often, but do not drain)
-Can not turn anyone no matter what they do. (Alonthra, see me about this and we will work something out)
- Can go out in the sun no problem
-Can cross running water, though with some difficulty
-Don’t come into a room uninvited. (They can, but it causes conflict in their being, so they don’t.)
There is no cross or holy water weakness on either side and as far as wooden stakes go… even humans die if they are stabbed with one. Night walkers can take more damage than Day Demons and Day demons can be killed just like people. Status determines the rest.
Biting
Both sides bite… both sides like to bite and both sides like to be bitten. There is nothing wrong with it, though the Day Demons prefer to bite their significant other not just anyone like the Night walkers do as it is a big turn on.
Also, retractible fangs is a genetic trait, only Day Demons have it, some of them do some of them don't.

Vampire Master here, I'll clarify what a "Psychic Vampire" is and the differences, just for future refference.
The Forsaken
- They do not feed in the traditional manner of biteing, instead they drain the lifeforce of their prey directly, usually by feeding off of strong emotions.
- The turning process kills the parent in the physical sense, destroying their bodies, but imbueing their childer with their full complement of abilities.
- Sunlight isn't lethal, but makes using their powers much more difficult. In fact, almost rendering them useless.
- Can cross running water without difficulty
- Must have invitation to cross a doorway.
- Can use the life energy gathered when feeding to power several abilities;
* Manifesting a sword made of pure lifeforce, instantly lethal to nightwalkers.
* Immunity to Fire and Electricity, and
* Short Lasting Invulnerability, to name a few.
- They must feed 10 times the normal ammount to be sustained as equally as a Nightwalker or Day Demon must.
- Normal Food does not bother them, and they can digest the food normally.
- Ingesting Large ammounts of blood will kill a Forsaken
