Yes, let's talk about our political ideology! What do you feel is wrong with the world's or U.S political system? What is right? Let's have some opinions here.

I hate the way the gas and electric companies run this country. They are killing us and yet we have to pay them taxes to do it. It's like we are basically paying our own assasins. For starters they have to burn coal to get the electricity to houses which releases phosphuric sulfate and this, in turn, is destroying the ozone. And The gas companies are making us pay out the a** for a resource that we can't even replace. They have the technology to replace gas with something else they just haven't because they are making too much profit off the gas. I'm sorry I'm just one of those people who so very against the government. Just a bunch of suck a** people that just sit around and figure out ways to rule our lives.

My family is split about politics and I am too young to vote. I will keep my eyes open and decide later. But I like the sign Susie. domokun

What president? Oh, you mean the resident? I'm still angry about the last two US elections... stolen. And as for those who did actually vote for that person, I find it hard to believe that any of them could continue to support him.

Sorry to say this guys but I am 100% anit-Bush...even though I don't live in the states I think he is one seriously f**ked up a***hole.

The thing that gets me the most is his total disregard for the Kyoto Agreement, to try and cut down on fuel emissions that harm the ozone layer, the USA when I last checked (which was a while ago) was the biggest polluter when it came to harmful and greenhouse gas emissions (methinks it might be China now, but I'm not sure) For f**k sake Bush you have the money and the resources to go greener so why don't you? Everyone else is making an effort that signed up, heck here in the UK, in London we've got congestion charging to travel through central London in a bid to cut down the numbers of cars on the road and thus the ammount of carbon dioxide emissions.

Sorry I'm a tree hugging dirt worshiping pagan and the future of our planet as a whole is something that concerns me. As a race, mankind is slowly but surely killing off the very thing that supports our life, Earth.

I'm not sorry you're a tree hugging dirt worshipping pagan! I'm one, too!

Any president and administration that would do the things against humans, animals and the earth that Bush has done, deserves to be impeached.

The real power is in Congress and the senate..the Presadent is just a puppet and has no real power on how we do things. he is just pretty much the fall guy.

I wish that were 100% true, Friggen. Yeah, there is some power in Congress, but they can so easily be co-opted by party politics and by big business. And when you have an administration with strong ties to big---no, to HUGE---gas and oil and munitions corporations, you can see what happens.

That it matters who is President has been pretty evident these past 6 years, and many other times. Hiroshima and Iran-Contra are a couple of fairly-recent-history examples of policy decisions, disastrous policy decisions, made by the executive.

Polotics...I remember those...
I don't really care as long as we're not stealing elections and bombing countrys for their oils. What does Bush think he's doing?
I'm also a dirt-worshipping-tree-hugging-pagan. And I expect always to be.

I couldn't help but notice that this thread was tilted slightly to the Left. Let's try and balacne it a bit, shall we?
Let's get one thing out of the way first, I am a conservative. On both economic and social issues.
That having been said, here's my bit about President Bush, which seems to be the current theme.

I think he's done pretty well. Not perfect, by any means, but overall, pretty well.
His reaction to 9/11 and the ensuing war on terror was and is being handled professionally and effectively. You can't really argue with the results. 5 streight years without another terror-attack in the U.S. And Al-Queida (is that spelled right?) has been run almost to the ground, losing their support from both Afganistan and Iraq.
Now, his financial policies I'm not to keen on. I'm more of a Reaganomics kind of guy. I personally think President Bush has spent to much of the country's money on unimportant things.
