i know that this is the rasmus guild, but as you all know, many people who like the rasmus seem to like HIM. i honestly HATE them by now for this certain reasons.
1. ville spoke in an interview and said that the rasmus doesnt even sing rock.
2. HIM thinks that they are all rock and heavy...well theyre NOT...cause i dowloaded songs from them long time ago when i first heard their music...and in one of the concerts i dowloaded ville was singing a backstreet boys song.....BACKSTREET BOY?!! what the hell!!!?
3. i honestly dont like their music..but thats my opinion..maybe some people like them and some dont..but i mainly dont like ville cause he seems to always be talking bad about lauri and the band..(thats what i also hear from my friends and on the msn)...
** youre welcome to post comments and your opinions..but please dont think im insulting the band or anything if you DO like them.

But here's the thing...Ville is a smart arse. My favourite quotes of his in order to prove this:
'I want to be a god of goth, just like Jim Morrison' (singer of the doors...not a goth)
'The finnish suck good c*ck, give me a call and I'll sort it out for you'
'Pigeons! Send thee hence, you harbringers of doom' {my fave...I hate pigeons xp }
He has a lot of respect for bands, regardless of whether he likes their music style or not. He respects the rasmus for getting out there and doing their thing. I mean, he was the one who suggested them to seppo (at least this is what I have read).
He also covered Backstreet boys as a joke. He says so at both the start and the end of the live version I have on my playlist.
The one thing he doesn't like, is the fact that people class both bands as goth. He classes HIM as a lovemetal band, always has.

I'm not biased to HIM, because I like both bands, I guess I just 'understand' the smart side of his dry humour, because I too, am a smart arse.

Drifting like a feather...
I definatly definatly like The Rasmus more.
No question about it.
I don't even like HIM, I've heard a few songs and they're alright, nothing special to me. whee
I don't really dislike Ville, I find him a bit annoying and the interveiw where he said The Rasmus aren't real rock made me irritated at him.
It will always be The Rasmus for meee, I don't understand how people can compare them. They're so different.
Which Backstreet Boys song did HIM do? Just out of interest. She's not like the other girls.

I'm a huge The Rasmus fan, so if I have to choose between those two, I'd definately say The Rasmus.
But that doesn't mean I don't like HIM.
I love HIM's music. But compared to Rasmus it's nothing xp
Still love it though 3nodding

You know I love you. yeah i get youre point 3nodding i just dont get it why ville talks *&^%!@# about the rasmus. ivd read interviews and seen videos where he does the same thing. i know its annoying that people compare both of them. i honestly dont even think HIM nor the rasmus is goth...but they are both rock.. HIM.....well there music to me is fine...i only like 2 songs from them...and im not going against the hold band..just ville...hes annoying to me. besides, lauri said in an interview that both bands get along....i havent heard !@#%$ coming out of lauris mouth or any of the band members..but i haved heard it a lot from ville... im a really sensitive person..so if i see someone talking @#!$% about someone i care(in this case the rasmus)..i wont tolerate it..i can understand you like the band..and many people do..and this is something that always happens when someone and someone discuss two bands where someone doesnt like the other band and stuff... but ethuil...ya still rock**! 4laugh

I wasn't bagging out the rasmus...I like them...obviously. xp
Unfortunately, most people read Ville as an arsehole. After seeing them live and after the amazing compliments he gave to every band he has ever performed with (including TR.) I'm still very partial to the fact he does respect them, just not in way he likes to show it. At least, that is how it came across to me and my friends.

i know many HIM fans..not that they agree with the same things i say...but like ivd always said:
its not the band members that matter, but the music....so i try to ignore ville if i ever come to listen to them.

Since I've taken a step back from the fandom, I can honestly say, whilst it appears that Ville is an a*****e; 1)He's alot of the time just joking, 2) Defining a type of music to not be "rock" or "metal" enough, has nothing to do with the quality of said music.
I used to hate HIM with a passion. Now, I merely hate Ville's persona and his lack-luster stage preformance. ninja I found myself listening to their version of "Wicked Game" the other day and enjoying it.

TR most.... HIM has good songs and covers, I even have their latest album, but I like TR most because I like it most lol
its just another style, and both bands are good in those styles

I love HIM because their lyrics are amazing, especially in their older song, but TR has a different kind of music, and they have some great lyrics too,so i guess I have to say i like them more.

HIM. Always will be my favorite until the very end. But honestly, The Rasmus is second right behind them. I love Ville's twisted love songs. They have a very dark air about them. But TR does something completely different. And I hate to say it but the Rasmus sucked until their Into cd. from there they've only gotten better though.
