Have you ever had it? Just wondering if it exists out of South America... smile I love knowing about culinary habits of other places biggrin

This is the plant.

Tradicionally, people make it really really hot, and drink it in special cups with metallic straws. It's called chimarrão.

But I've never had it like this. It's more usually made just like the normal tea. I prefer drinking it cold, though. Tea places around here sell it mixed with lemon juice, or mint extract. It's sooo great whee They also sell it with varied fruit juices, condensed milk, and so on.. a little like the "bubble tea" I saw in the other topic 3nodding

I've only every tried yerba mate, and I'm not too fond of it. It tastes...'rugged'. Like grass and leaves and bark or something. confused
