Did you know that one of the reasons Friday the 13th is considered to be a day of bad luck is because of the number of people at The Last Supper? The theory goes that there were thirteen people at The Last Supper. The thirteenth person, Judas, betrayed Jesus. Hence, the number thirteen is unlucky.
Why Judas would be considered the thirteenth person is kind of weird to me. If there were twelve apostles plus Jesus, wouldn't it make sense that Jesus was the 13th person?
Fun trivia fact: The arrest of many members of The Knights Templar occurred on Friday, October 13, 1307, which is considered another link to the Friday the 13th superstition. King Philip IV of France drew up false charges and accusations against The Knights Templar. In truth, he was in debt to them. Rather than paying them, he slandered them, got the Catholic Church to turn against them, and then seized all of their lands and wealth for himself.

Fortunately, we worship the King of Kings, who is truly righteous. He has never uttered a lie.
Anyway, the Friday the 13th superstition, despite its grounding being found in historical events, is actually a relatively new superstition, coming about only recently (as in, the 19th century, or thereabouts).
