These subforums are a little lackluster these days, so why not a new thread? This one pertaining the subject of Tool.

Of course there's a Tool forum, not surprised. I like the band but the fact they took thirteen plus years to release an album leaves me disappointed in the band. The album was fantastic no denying.

I'm not the most knowledgable about Tool, but I have yet to find a song of theirs I don't enjoy - and don't instantly recognize due to their extremely unique sound/playstyle lol. I always marvel at the crazy s**t they do with drums, it's amazing!

Because why not: My favorite song of theirs is Schism. That bassline is my favorite bass in anything, ever. It gives me chills.

I've seen in a recent interview where Maynard is no longer physically capable of doing a full set of classic Tool material. I figure we'll get one more album before they call it quits... Maybe.

I'm quite new to music so I haven't listened to Tool until now, I checked out Lateralus and wonder why I haven't discovered Tool earlier when I was wandering around the prog rock stuffs.

Better late than never, right? Their earlier stuff is pretty decent. I had a hard time getting into their most recent album myself. When not performing with Tool, vocalist Maynard James Keenan keeps himself busy with A Perfect Circle and Puscifer.
