I recently finished reading the New Testament and was wondering if anybody had any tips for reading the Old Testament?
I guess it depends what your preference for reading is.
If you're reading an easy to understand version of the Bible, it can be much more simple. For example, the NIV or the NLT is generally easier than the NKJV or KJV for most to read and understand.
Having resources handy like a concordance (
www.blueletterbible.org is a great one) to understand certain words further can be useful.
Many people read it in order that it's placed in the Bible starting with Genesis, Exodus, etc. (the pentateuch is a great foundation - the first 5 books gives a good understanding on a lot of things).
I suppose if you have any questions about what you read, you can research it or ask someone or simply ask here
