Sienna sat in her home, her eyes closed and her body tense as she listened to the commotion that was going on outside. Her eyes snapped open as she heard a child screaming in pain. Snapping up out of her chair Sienna rushed over to the door and threw it open. Seeing the carnage and death that was surrounding her home she cringed and rushed forward to try and save the child. Dashing past the soldiers of the undead army to get to the child Sienna closed her eyes and shook her head for a brief moment before she felt a presence behind her. Turning on her heel she struck out with her sword and slashed the throat of the soldier that was trying to kill her. This went on for a few hours, and thankfully the sun was down, otherwise Sienna would have been in a lot of trouble.

Noticing that she had been able to take out a decent amount of the soldiers, she looked about and saw that everyone that had been in the village were dead or dying. She shook her head but as she did so she became dizzy. Looking down she saw herself covered in blood from a wide veray of wounds. Feeling the weakness starting to grip her she ran, fast and far, hoping to get away from the guards. She ran for a few miles before she found a cave to hide in, feeling the coming dawn she needed to sleep and rest and try and regain her strength so that she could find a new home. Sienna moved to the farthest part of the cave and slowly sank to the ground, her back against the wall as she allowed her eyes to close.

She was extremely weak due to the energy she had exerted in the battle as well as the loss of blood from the many wounds she had received. Though as she thought back to the battle a smirk appeared on her lips. She had killed off at least four or more of King Darian's Undead soldiers. Something that was impossible to do supposedly. As she sat there Sienna licked at the wounds she was able to reach, hoping that if she closed off at least some of them she would be able to survive the day so that she could hunt for something to eat that night. Little did she know that her life was going to be changed forever before the nights end.

Darien sat upon his throne and gave a grunt of impatience as one of his subordinates finally came before him.

"Finally, what took you so to report?" he asked impatiently. The subordinate gulped, and then launched into a description of how one girl had taken out half of the contingent sent to her village. Darien sat forward, intrigued. "And you said she was grievously injured?" He smirked. "Then I'm going to have to find her and turn her."

His sister, Linda, stood quietly in the shadows behind the throne. She disapproved of this development in her brother's character, but she had no place to say so in front of an underling. Once the man had left, she came out and looked at Darien, an eyebrow raised.

"Why the sudden interest in a tiny slip of a girl?" she asked. Darien shrugged.

"She took put half of the troops sent to her village, so she could be incredibly fun to play with." Linda nodded. This was the Darien that she knew. Lately though, he had seemed to be getting soft. She was worried. Hopefully this silly girl didn't find those chips in his armor and ruin everything Linda had planned.

Sienna laid on the floor of the cave, some of her wounds still bleeding out. Her body needed to rest, but she also knew there was a chance some of the soldiers could find her. So no matter if she needed to sleep she had to stay alert. Though with the amount of blood she had lost, the fact she hadn't fed in a few days, and that the sun was going to be coming up shortly she was really quite weak. She closed her eyes and did her best to try and breath, to relax her body and mind and slow down her heart and breathing. If she was able to do that she just might be able to make it through the day without dying. That is unless she had to fight anyone else. She was just glad that the cave she had picked to stay in wasn't inhabited by anything. She didn't have the strength to kick out any animals or ever kill them.

Celeste sighed as Darien walked into the room, a little sick grin on his face.

"What is it now dear brother?" she asked as she stood up from her desk. It was littered with various bits of healing herbs and paraphanelia. Beside her, her niece sat, Darien's daughter. Darien gave both a cursory hug.

"I have found a new plaything, but she seems to be injured, so I want you two to heal her." Celeste nodded and sighed, knowing that she needed to do as her brother said in order to protect Sheridan and the others that Darien employed. She wished that he wasn't as brutal, but he was doing what he thought was right so that's what she did for him.

Sheridan sat with her aunt at the table they used to for all of their healing items when the door opened and her father walked in. She looked up to him and smiled, hugging him back before listening to what he has said. "As you wish father, where can we find her?" Sheridan knew of the things her father did, but he had never shown her anything besides care. He had taken her in, where her own parents had left her for dead. Something, she wasn't sure what, had caused him to pick up the baby that had been left for dead at one of the villages that his army had been marching towards.

Mina was curled up on the floor in the dungeon of King Oberon's castle tears rolling down her cheeks as she slowly tried to heal herself from the punishment she had just received for allowing Selena to get injured, even though the injury had been minor. She made no sound, she didn't struggle, she had learned long ago to just take the punishments and not fight them. She had been given to King Oberon and his wife as a play mate for their young daughter, but the main reason they wanted her was to always protect Selena. Mina felt her wounds slowly, oh so slowly, healing themselves. They had kept her down in the dungeons for almost a week, visiting her every day, some times even more then once a day. And what none but the guards would ever know that the main one to punish her was actually King Oberon himself.

Sienna laid on the ground, blood seeping from her wounds. Her eyes were barely open but enough to be able to keep an eye on the opening of the cave she was in. She knew sooner or later she would end up losing the fight to stay awake, she could feel it happening. Her body was feeling the effects of the blood loss, lack of feeding for days prior, as well as the sun being at its peak.

Selena was in her father's sitting room, fuming.
"Father, you can't do that to Mina. I forbid it! She is my knight and doesn't answer to you or anyone else," she said through gritted teeth. Her father laughed.
"Whatever keeps you happy dear child. She let you get injured so she gets punished. That's how it's always been." His deep voice reverberated through the room, and Selena frowned, her arms crossed over her chest.
"Well father, I can make my own decisions, and they are not hers. In fact, she goes out of her way to just make sure I don't get hurt. I'm not perfect and I will trip and fall on my face sometimes. It's not her fault. Stop taking her away from me and stop punishing her." With that, she stormed out of the room to go get Mina out of the dungeons. She had a plan for that night, for both of them to escape. They needed to. For both of their sakes.

Celeste followed Darien to a little cave, where the scouts had followed a blood trail to. They stepped inside and the coppery smell of blood rose a stench in the air. Celeste went to the girl's side, not in a particular sort of rush. She didn't care about her. She just came along at Darien's request. She used salve on the wounds she found, and then bound them in cloth. By the time she was done, she almost looked like a mummy.
"There you go," she said to Darien, packing her healer's bag to leave. "I'm not carrying her. Tell whoever it is to not jostle her too much."
