How would you feel if Aiden went Mainstream?
For those you don't know mainstream is popluar music that you'd find on MTV or MuchMusic. Music that almost everyone has heard of.
I personaly would hate it, everyone would go;
"Biggest Fan" - "I'm Aiden's biggest fan! I have their CD! Will's HOT!!!1!"
Agyro - "Which CD?"
"Biggest Fan" - "Nightmare Anatomy... They only have one!"
Agyro - "...what about Our Gang's Dark Oath..."
"Biggest Fan" - "Wills HOT!"
Teenies, Over play and other stuff. Its just has more value when it's not mainstream... in my opinion...

I would HATE it if they went mainstream!! I would like my friends knowing who they are, but I would hate all of the n00bs running around saying they LOVE Aiden and are their #1 fan!
I know this is a little off topic but that is what happened to MCR.
See I was one of the few to but their first cd before Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge. And now look at all of the people that say they are their #1 fan. No offence to those that like MCR.
I hate MTV.

Just the other day I saw a Cancer Bats music video on MTV and I flipped out, I saw them when they were the opening band at shows! MTV has been taking less popular and underground bands and trying to turn it mainstream.

I hate MTV for that. The good bands (including Aiden) should remain OUT of mainstream. It may be good for the band and may make them alot of money, but I think if they care about their music and not fame they should stay OFF of MTV.

I cringe at the fact of Aiden getting a bunch of teenies and etc fans gonk !
Teenie: OMFGG! WILL is SO ******** HOTT!!!!
Me: Yeah, but I have the most respect for wiL because of everything he has gone through and overcome to be the great person we know today.
I can already picture their responses like "YUEAH THAT WSA SOO SADD!!!!! crying crying crying crying crying "
Nothing like, "Yes, that was horrible. He went through SO much, and now, you can't even tell by how he just loves on the fans."
I would hate people exploding all the pain and ghosts of wiL's past that lies in Nightmare Anatomy. That is why I hope that Die Romantic doesn't get overplayed as a video.
But I do believe Aiden is a band that has the talent more than a lot of the other s**t bands out there SO if anything they deserve it more. They already conquered the UK so their conquest of the world is beginning.
Either way, I hope or I know that I will always be there and stick by them.
I joined the Aiden Army for life. :3

I'm guessing Die Romantic will be overplayed when it comes out.
I had all of my friends listen to Nightmare Anatomy once it came out and I got it. But a few of my friends that hate the music I listened to loved Die Romantic.
So I am guessing it will be overplayed.
But *shrugs* let's hope it turns out to be good for Aiden.

Ahhh I hate MTV for exposing bands like that. Even MCR, they have been on of my fave bands for a long time now and almost everyone thinks im like some kind of emo poser because I like them even though they went mainstream.
I'm not about to drop Aiden or MCR because they went mainstream if their music helps me then it helps me, and people who think i like them just cause they are popular can go and screw themselves.
Isnt it what the bands want though? IT could bring out some fans that like the music and not the band because they are hot. And then they would stick. And they do need to make a living. MTV can be bad and good.

It would make me sad if fans of Aiden, MCR, FOB, P!atd, etc. And others. Would stop likeing that band becasue it went mainstream and its cool not to hate mainstream.

That I can see. I hope that none of the good bands that go mainstream change like that.
I was so surprised over the duff issue, mainly becasue they differ so much.
I can definatly see that though.
I geuss its just the whole idea that pisses me off, and the fact that to fit into a certain label your bands have to be unheard of and some people stop listening to the band casue they want to be in the label....or something.
I can see how the bands change though.

T.T Oh well. I live. But I agree, some bands let fame go to their heads. GC is perfect example for me, too. I used to be obsessed with them, but then they went mainstream. I hate Joel and Benji as people now, and have GC's albums in some forgotten little corner. I'm glad I stopped listening to GC, though, because when I was obsessed with them I didn't listen to anything but. Now, I have broadened my list of bands I listen to, and am overjoyed I did. I would hate it if Aiden went mainstream. Sure, they'd probably get more fans, some of which could be true fans- for example, I admit I only got into MCR last November because everyone was talking about how good they were. I listened to them, now I am a true fan, a fan for life. I love them as much as any other fan who has loved them before they went mainstream. Some people who get into Aiden when they go mainstream could be like that. But the majority would be teenies, who I can't stand. So no, Aiden must NOT go mainstream! gonk I think, no matter if they go mainstream or not, we'll ALL be Aiden fans for LIFE.
