The idea of branching out in her experiences had, at one point, interested Maebe. She decided that she would forego her favorite jobs for the day, in favor of trying something new. It sounded exciting, when she thought of it that way.

When she showed up at Pale Horse and realized that they were going to make her try to do computer work, she started to doubt her expectations of excitement.

Still she persevered, since she was already there and the idea of traveling all the way to another job placement sounded exhausting. She sat down at the customer service desk, and awaited her first customer.

It came in the form of a short, dumpy man, who handed her his laptop and told her it had become effectively a paper weight. She turned it on and realized almost instantly that the only real problem with the tech was that he'd broken the monitoring device. As this was unacceptable, the device refused to work for him until he returned it for repair.

She rewired a new monitoring device in and reinstalled the spyware, then handed it back to him. It worked perfectly after that, according to his praise.
