Animals as Leaders is an American instrumental progressive metal band from Washington, D.C. It is composed of guitarists Tosin Abasi and Javier Reyes, along with drummer Matt Garstka, having been formed by Abasi in 2007. They have been a prominent band within the djent scene.
My personal favorites from Animals as Leaders include 'The Brain Dance' and 'Apeirophobia' for their progressive acoustic sound.

They're a decent band. I first heard about them a little after their Weightless album came out. Needles to say, The Madness of Many will soon be in my collection too.

Eh, not too big of a fan. I've tried to get into them soon after their third album came out, but I simply couldn't.

"Parrhesia" is the title of their newest release. Album number five, I believe. Not a bad record.

Matadair "Parrhesia" is the title of their newest release. Album number five, I believe. Not a bad record. Yes, I've just listened to the album for the first time. Definitely my favorite to date. A little more proggy than it's predecessor.
