Apparently it's still going.

I haven't started watching it yet, but apparently they're exploring Naru/Hina and the next one is Sasu/Saku.

Are the animating the novels now? Judging from the new opening with Sai sinking and Ino's hand reaching out to grab his, I'm assuming so.
(I recall something similar happening in the novel that sort of props up the Sai/Ino pairing.)
I'm so far out of the loop that I'm not even aware of what's happening with this series anymore.
