When was your first Purge?? When did you lose your Purge-inity.. (is that too much?) xd
This is designed to be a fun thread where people can talk about their first experience with the Purge and C4T. With the Purge-iversary coming up I thought it would be neat to have a forum where folks can reflect on their Purge experience over this last year.. 4laugh
Some discussion points:
When did you find (Cash4Trash) - Gaia Purge?
How did you find C4T?
How much have you Purged? (if you can even recall how much)
What were your initial thoughts about the process?
Is there anything you regret?
Have you told your friends?
Will you Purge again?
(obviously you don't have to answer these questions, but would be fun for everyone to share!)

I don't quite remember when I found Cash4Trash. It wasn't even that long ago; I'm pretty sure it was while the latest Convert-o-Matic event was winding down. I was jumping from thread to thread, trying to finish up a few achievements. I'm pretty sure I actually saw a thread advertising Cash4Trash... which I kept open in a tab, but then proceeded to ignore for a while because I wanted to finish up other things. xd
But when I finally looked back to the thread and followed a link to the official one, I thought "Hey, I have a lot of junk I don't want... why not?" I mean, a lot of items don't even have a sellback, so I couldn't sell them from my inventory. I could destroy them, but... well, I just never do. I hate clogging up my shop entirely with junk items. And I used to toss more things into the dumpster dive, but after I trashed an item so worthless that the recipient actually sent it back to me, that option seemed less appealing. So, here was a person that was saying "Send me all of your junk, guilt free, and I not only won't throw it back in your face, I will give you a little gold just to sweeten the deal." I was pretty sold on the idea right away. The hard part was deciding which items to get rid of. I know, I know; I say it was all junk, and it really was, but I still had a hard time letting go! Some things were cute, but just not for me and I didn't want them to just disappear! But I got over it and got started, eventually.
Now, probably over 200 items later, I'm really glad that I did. Housing items, aquarium decorations, Kindred items; things I didn't even realize were cluttering my inventory are gone, gone, gone! And the items I didn't send on to Cash4Trash, I finally did start gifting or selling. It was like getting some of that initial purge going was the needed bit of momentum for me to start regaining control of my inventory. It's nice not to have a hundred or so equippable items that I don't want staring me in the face every day! And it was super cool to have an alchemy item resource available when I needed one.
I have told a couple of friends who have inventories just as frightening as my own; we'll see if they feel the need to purge. xd As for myself, well, I will always have more junk. I just can't help it; I accumulate it. (I still dumpster dive and collect from daily chance. Why??? I think I just like the idea of receiving a surprise!) I'll probably be purging about once a week for the forseeable future. sweatdrop

i think i discovered cash4trash about 2-3 months ago? i found the thread in one of those signature banners. i’ve purged about 5-6 times in total now, which is great! 180 junk items gone from my inventory, and it is now cleaner than ever. i’ll definitely purge some time in future to clean up items that i got from dumpster dive, daily chances and so. i really appreciate that this service is available.

I only started this year in purging! I remember stumbling upon the then-newly remade Cash4Trash thread and thought it was a marvelous idea. So great that I thought it was worth advertising on my signature 8D Thus, the first ever banner request~ And I'm glad to see that the signatures have been mighty effective, even during the recent AURB event! o3o I've also sneaked a few recommendations in chats and GCD replies regarding inventory topics.
A dozen or so aquarium trades later and I knew this place was a keeper heart

How did you find C4T? I think I found you in another thread and followed you to your thread and then you invited me here.
How much have you Purged? (if you can even recall how much) A bunch!
What were your initial thoughts about the process? Wonderful - easy and profitable way to clear out my inventory a bit.

September 8th this year was my first trade with C4T, and I couldn't have been more thrilled to have found the official thread to do so.
I'd been looking at charity forum and spotted this "declutter your inventory" thread which I'd been wanting to do for a long time. And here it was, so, I subscribed, posted, and the trading began.
Thank you for this and now...I'm able to think clear cause of less STUFF! rofl
I can't function when there's a mess, I must be OCD. eek Or, a hoarder of sorts, but I'm feeling much better now. xd

November 10,2015 I was looking for a way to get rid of my stuff without trashing it or putting it in the dumpster.So I search the forums and found you that was before the name change.

Gosh how did I find you lol, I think I was in the Wanted forum around 6-7 months ago (from oldest trade it's Jan. 31, 2016), and saw your thread and thought I have sooo many things in my inventory and you are kind enough to take those that will never sell that I just had to try you and I thought it would be a once maybe twice use only, but to think I still come to you for so much I just can't comprehend how much I depended on this. Without you I would be overstuffed with items that are cluttering my invo and no clue what to do. I don't think I say this enough, but seriously Thank You!!
How did you find C4T?
Going through the Wanted forum, people have threads like "Buying for 1T" and I usually sell items to them, or every once in a while I help those looking for items in case I have said item.
How much have you Purged? (if you can even recall how much)
Always a trade full of items and usually one after another. >.< too much to remember, but I guess over 500 items. O_O
What were your initial thoughts about the process?
I thought it was a little confusing since you are not really getting a profit, but willing to buy all these items from random gaians.
Is there anything you regret?
One. I regret not finding you sooner lol XD
Two I guess, I also regret not thanking you each and everytime you take all these items from me and without any complaint either, I feel like I'm taking you for granted DX

Omg have I!!! I told so many and a couple have used you.
Will you Purge again?
I don't know if I can stop anymore lol. Well I guess after my inventory is no longer clutter I will stop for a bit, but will always be back to say hi lol.
