"Hmmm..." a young blond male was standing among many containers of pokemon, clipboard in hand with a large amount of writing and various tables scrawled on the sheets. Pulling a few pages up as he would scratch some more notes into the paper, he'd only be distracted momentarily as a Weavile came around the corner and walked up to him, her eyes still glancing about with a sad look, "Don't worry Liliko." he'd mutter reaching out and patting the weavile on the head gently making it look to him, "The experiments are necessary." he mumbled looking back to his papers, "Finding out about this type of thing is important, being able to change a pokemon type so that it denies a weakness...." he murmured as he stared at a strange fusion between a Charizard and a Relicanth. Shaking his head as he would turn with Liliko following behind him, moving towards one of the capsules he'd spot the fusion he had finished processing not long ago, one of his pokemon, Law his Lampent; it's mother a ghost type had been dying. From what? Honestly Marcell was no pokemon doctor and he was half sure if a ghost pokemon was somehow dying it didn't spell good things. Out of what little mercy he could provide to his companion he fused it with a Rapidash in the hopes of keeping it's life. It worked, but he wasn't sure about the consciousness of the pokemon itself, he hasn't properly checked, but so far it had been very stable, a successful fusion. It had been let out briefly over the course of a few weeks to make sure it could remain stabilized and it was ready to be let loose as a normal pokemon. Something he was doing today.
Breathing in as he would place the clipboard on top of the machine and look to Liliko, "You ready? I'm going to let her out and if she starts to fight we'll have to take her down." he'd state. It should be fairly calm, but it wouldn't be drugged so it might end up being a bit more aggressive then normal. The capsule released and the horse hybrid would get flames on it's gothic colored body, it glared at him at first before a mild recognition seemed to come through. Carefully stepping out of the capsule she would shake off some of the water and approach Marcell. He was waiting for her to either accept or reject him, most likely reject since that was how most fusions acted. Something he assumed as a feeling of betrayal from pokemon that thought they were loved. Though this had been a bit different so the results could have been mixed, the pokemon moved up and towered over him. Staring and huffing as it seemed to be struggling with making sense, Liliko tensed up and leered at the horse. Marcell gently reached out and patted Liliko once again in the attempt to soothe her, the other pokemon stared at her and him for the longest moment before seeming to relax. Marcell was cautious as he reached up and touched the pokemon's snout, he was surprised that she was solid. Interest piqued as he would find that it took on some of the aspects of Rapidash, it's mane didn't burn him when it brush his fingers which meant it liked him or was not afraid of him. Breathing a sigh of relief he'd easily draw out a pokeball and tap her with it, a few moments passed as it struggled inside the ball before it would ding. Picking it up he'd immediately release her and place the pokeball on his hip, "Sorry. It was necessary." he'd hold his hands up in surrender as the now fairly pissed off fusion was huffing at him. It snuffed angrily before Liliko trotted forward and started to speak towards it, the mix of a Chandelure's ghostly wail and the neigh of Rapidash was rather...cool.
A few moments later and Liliko seemed to calm the new pokemon down, "Alright....let's name you for the time being....Ophelia would be alright?" he questioned looking towards Liliko and then the fusion. Liliko seemed to like the name while the fusion looked mildly confused, he gestured to the both of them to follow, but stopped when the announcement called. He'd sigh, "I'm lucky I'm on the ship today...having Alistar carry me here would have been annoying." he muttered looking to the two pokemon, "Change of plans, heading to the meeting room." he'd state turning and easily walking out with the two pokemon in tow.
