You answered an ad on the Internet of someone who is in desperate need of a roommate in the same town. The picture won't load, but since you are in despite need of a place to stay yourself and their profile doesn't seem that bad you decide to take a chance, with 911 on speed-dial. Little do you know that the name is unisex and your new roommate is not only the polar opposite of you, but the opposite sex as well.

NAME: Serenica Marvels
AGE: Twenty-Three
PERSONALITY: She’s kind of shy and reserved at first. She’s clumsy and can get flustered pretty easily. She doesn’t get out much, preferring to stay inside, snuggled in a blanket, nice and warm, reading a book or something similar. But, once you get to know her, she can be fun to be around.
LIKES: Books, Video Games, Comics, Movies, Starry Sky, Soft Things, Sweaters, Sweets
DISLIKES: Bitter Foods, Rude People, Being Cold
BRIEF HISTORY: For as long as she could remember, she was always the odd one out. Her older brother constantly teased her, her mother worried about her, and her father urged her to get into sports. But, she didn’t enjoy sports. She wasn’t good at them, and they just never really appealed to her. In high school, she only hung out with a couple people. They were nerds just like her. Over the years, she’s come to embrace her nerdiness, even though others may not.

AGE: Twenty-Two.
PERSONALITY: Jamie is very competitive, beating him will only cause him to practice until he can dominate the competition no matter the subject. He prefers to be outside with fresh air and heart racing, seeing staying indoors as a waste of time. He is very friendly, often being misunderstood as flirting, but without the fear of rejection he is known to flirt a lot when he wants to be, mostly friendly flirting to get a cute reaction from his victim. All in all he is mostly a adrenaline powered goofball who just wants to have fun and live in the moment.
LIKES: Coffee flavored treats, multiple sports, hiking, bar hopping, relaxing with good friends, friendly flirtatious teasing.
DISLIKES: Being still for to long, being indoors, people who don't want to do anything, messiness, overly depressing people, losing in anything, boring people.
BRIEF HISTORY: Strong, fast, and excelling in almost everything he gets invested in, Jamie has been the prime example of an 'alpha male' ever since he was young. Growing up with an older brother and sister, he got into a competitive lifestyle early on in life, leading to him being a key player in most of the sports teams since middle school and having high grades to boast about. Deep down he is just a guy who likes to make friends, always being the first to go out with a large group and last to leave with his own little circle. Others see him as annoying or hyperactive, but with his eyes always set on the future and enjoying the moment, he lets it all fall behind him with a smile.

~"Why would anyone stay indoors on such a beautiful day? Sucha nerd."~ A sunny day calls him name, but only three flights of stairs stand before him. With remorse Jamie struggled to stay on task and spend the day moving into his new apartment, but he could not help but have the urge to go out and do something else, like morning bar hopping with the guys, "It has to be 5 o'clock somewhere right?" he said to himself to lighten the mood. Finally, after lugged several bags and suitcases strategically placed on his person up the final flight of stairs, he took out his iPhone to check the apartment number before kicking the door as a way to alert his new roommate that he had arrived. "I hope this guy is cool and all. Suck to have a problem on the first day." he mumbled as he patiently waited for the door to open. Within seconds he had already started to impatiently tap his foot while looking over the complex. He smiled from ear to ear realizing how lucky he was to have scored such a decent place in such a short time, though he was skeptical about the availability.

Now that the place was neat and clean, all there was left to do was wait. She hoped the girl she was going to live with was nice. And... didn't mind living with a complete nerd like her. Her hair was still a bit wet, just coming from the shower. She slipped on a warm sweater, and cuddled up on the couch with a blanket. She sighed, still a bit nervous about her new roommate. Picking up a book from the small table in front of her, she opened it and started to pass the time by doing something she loved, reading.
The sound of someone hitting, or kicking, the door jerked her out of her little world. She quickly got up and walked towards the door. Taking a deep breath to mentally prepare herself, she pushed up her glasses, and opened the door. She froze at the sight. That does NOT look like a girl. At first, she thought maybe this guy had gotten the wrong apartment, but he had luggage. She realized she was being rude. "S-sorry. Um..." She gulped, not knowing what to say. Jamie! It was a guy's name all along! Not a girl's... She realized. "Here. In least come in and... put down your things." She said softly, moving aside so he had enough room to come in, which may or may not prove to be a mistake. She couldn't really meet his eyes as she pulled on the sleeve of her sweater.

~"Why would anyone stay indoors on such a beautiful day? Sucha nerd."~ Jamie smiled as the door opened, but when he saw the girl standing in front of him it quickly changed to a look of total confusion. He quickly dismissed the notion before straitening the bags he had in tow, "Don't mind if I do." he said as he moved through the threshold and placed his bags off to the side. He let out a sigh of relief while enjoying the freedom and turned to the girl. He could not help but smirk when he saw how awkward and cute she looked during this encounter, "So, are you my new roomy's girlfriend? Sister maybe?" he asked as he stretched. After taking a moment to look around the apartment, he started to notice how girly the place looked. His smile soon returned. He let out a sigh before placing one hand on his hip while the other rubbed the back of his head, "This is three forty-eight right? Please tell me you are his girlfriend." he asked with an awkward laugh while kicking at his bags.

She watched as he walked around and put his bags on the ground. "W-well..." She didn't know quite how to explain the situation. It had a simple explanation, yet... didn't. "This is three forty-eight..." She said, averting her gaze. "Y-you see... I think there's been some sort of misunderstanding. See... I'm you're new roommate." She explained, a little nervous he was going to get upset. But, he seemed nice enough. The thing she had to figure out was... what to do now. She needed a roommate, and he already had all his stuff here...

~"Why would anyone stay indoors on such a beautiful day? Sucha nerd."~ Jamie looked around the room once more and back at the little brunette who claimed to be his roommate. He let out a healthy laugh remembering how he hurried to snag this apartment without looking at any information past the price of the rent. "Well yeah, I guess this would be a misunderstanding. I think it is weirder for a girl to ask for a roommate randomly, let along on the internet." Jamie smiled, a sarcastic one that hid the annoyance he felt for getting himself into this situation. "Just in case I missed something, well, something else, what can you tell me about the place." Jamie started to walk through the apartment trying to look on the brighter side of things, "I know it's suppose to be a two bedroom, but do we have separate baths at least? And my room?" Jamie made his way back and put two of his bags and tossed them over his shoulder, waiting for this new roommate to show him the way. "My name is Jamie, though you might have known that. Nice to meat cha'ya."

She was a bit surprised, hearing him laugh. She was just relieved he wasn't real upset. Well if he was, he didn't show it. She pushed up her glasses again as she listened to him talk. It was a habit. Well, more like an instinct now. Sometimes, she'll find herself moving her hand up to her face to push them up only to find she's not wearing them. She stayed in one spot as he looked around the place. When he mentioned the bathrooms, she rubbed the back of her neck. "Well, actually... There's only one..." She didn't expect that to be a problem because she was expecting a girl. She put on a smile. "Your room's right this way..." She walked past him and led the way to his room. "It's nice to meet you as well. I'm Serenica." She introduced herself with a shy smile.

Sucha nerd."~ "Serenica, Serenica Serenica Serenica." he repeated as he followed his new roommate through the halls in an attempt to memorize her name. "Lucky for me since my roommate is cuter than I expected it will be easier to remember." Jamie knew that names were a weak point, often leading him to give people nicknames to help him remember them until he got used to seeing them frequently, and paying her an early complement might make the misunderstanding more manageable. As they walked he looked at the bathroom, it was a decent size for the price, but he still wished he could get his own thinking sharing it with her would be to weird. 'I suppose I can never invite my mom to see this place...' he thought to himself, just thinking about her expression if she found out he was living with some girl in a one bathroom apartment made him cringe before snapping back to reality. Looking into the room from the hall he was impressed. He had his expectations pretty low, but like today everything had a surprise to it. He walked into the room and threw his bags and suitcases into the corner before placing his hands on his hips and looking over the room. Without a doubt it was bigger than his last place and his eyes told the whole story, "Well I like it, the pictures the landlord sent me really didn't do it justice. Good thing since I already signed the lease huh?" Jamie turned to Serenica and give her a friendly wink before smiling at her.

A light blush appeared on her face at his words. She wasn't at all used to being called "cute." She cleared her throat, unable to think of what to say. Pushing up her glasses, she continued walking, passing the bathroom. She stole a glance at the male's face to see his reaction. She couldn't really read his expression, but she just hoped there wouldn't be too many other awkward moments. But, knowing her luck, there probably would be. She was about to walk back to the couch when he started talking again. "Y-yeah." She smiled. "I'm glad you like it. If... you need anything, don't hesitate to ask." She gave a small smile again before walking back to the couch. Sitting down, a sigh escaped her lips. He seemed nice, so that was a good thing. She picked up her phone from the table, pressing the power button to see if she had any messages. Nope. What'd she expect? Not like her dad would care enough to call. Her mother on the other hand, was a worry-wart. I'm surprised Mom didn't call- Her mother's face popped up on the screen, soon followed by her ringtone cutting through the air. And there she is. Her thumb tapped the green circle before she held the device to her ear. "Hey Mom..." Hey sweety, did your new roommate come yet? "You could say that..." She wasn't sure if she was going to tell her or not. Well is she nice? What's her name? "Jamie. Jamie's... nice." She said, really wanting to end the conversation. "I-I really got to go Mom, I'll call you later, okay?" Not leaving her mother any time to protest, she hung up. She let out a breath of air, placing the phone back on the table.

~"Why would anyone stay indoors on such a beautiful day? Sucha nerd."~ Jamie watched as Serenica left without saying much else to him. He let out a small sigh hoping his personality did not make her to uncomfortable, something he was well known to do. As she walked off Jamie took out his phone and started making a list of things he needed to buy to make his room feel more like home, and as the list kept growing he started to regret adding up the prices in his head. It didn't take him long to give up and start walking towards the living room to get more things when he over heard his name being said. He stopped for a moment before realizing that Serenica was on the phone and walked out the door to retrieve the rest of his things. After decided to take the elevator this time, he soon returned with a large flat screen in tow and nudged the door. It only took him seconds to place it in his room and began running back and forth between the room and his car, carrying a variety of bags, containers, and other items, placing them wherever in his room until he knew how he wanted to arrange his room. This only took the young man around ten minutes to finish without breaking a sweat. Afterwards, he poked his head around the corner and tapped on the wall to get Serenica's attention, "So~ who where you telling about me on the phone? I bet they were shocked about me being a guy like you right?" he asked as he moved to sit in the chair next to the couch she was sitting in. As he started to get comfortable, he started to think about how he could get along with Serenica. He started wondering how long it has been since he had to interact with such a shy person, an assumption he concluded from the short amount of time they spent together, given how little she talked to him.

She looked up, hearing Jamie walk by, and then out the door. She shrugged, lifting up her feet and spreading her legs out on the couch more comfortably. Looking up at the ceiling, she wondered how well her current living situations were going to work out, and if they were going to get along. She heard the door open, and she sat up to look just as he brought in a flat-screen TV. She watched , at first with wide eyes, as he lifted it effortlessly, taking it to his room. He made several trips. Jeez... If that was me, I'd be falling to my knees gasping for air by now. When it seemed it was all done and he went into his room, she relaxed again, looking back to her book. She hoped he would be comfortable here. Hearing his voice, she sat up straighter to look at him. She rubbed the back of her neck. "That was my mom, and... I may have left that... small bit out." Seeing him sit in the small chair, she put her feet back down, although not saying anything about it, she felt a bit bad making him sit in the uncomfortable thing.

Sucha nerd."~ "Oh man, well this is going to make a very awkward visit if she ever decides to drop by, don't worry though, moms normally love me, especially as a son-in-law." Jamie smiled at his roommate as he made himself comfortable in the chair, something he was going to have to replace even if he had to drag Serenica out of the apartment so she could pick it out. He paused a bit to look around the apartment, taking note about the things that he himself would need and everything that was already here, but knowing him he would still buy his own. With a nod he suddenly clapped his hands as he sat up, partly to get his little roommate attention and to see if he could scare her for fun, "OK. I'm just going to get this out of the way, the silence is killing me. I'm Jamie Young, once again nice to meet you. I am an early bird, so you might hear me waking up at around six in the morning. Don't worry though, i'll be as quiet as I can. At that time I'll be working out, since all of this was not built in a day, but sculpted to perfection" he said to his own amusement as he waved his hands across his body as if he was displaying a new product to the masses. "I might be in my room if there is enough space, here in the living room, or going out for a run. Feel free to join me if you like. I normally finish around eight thirtyish or nine, then you will either hear a blender going or the shower. After that breakfast, if you have anything you'd like I might be able to cook it, for a price. Oh and before I forget, more than likely oldies will be playing the whole time, but like I said I'll try and be quiet for you." Jamie let out a huff as he finished explaining how he would be living while there, thinking to himself to see if he missed anything. "Yeah, that should be it, the rest of the day should be pretty mellow since I'll be here and there." He smiled at her as he got out of the chair and tool out his cell phone. He scanned through it until he remembered where it showed his number and handed her the phone, tapping it to let her know to save it in hers, "Oh and one more thing, I am willing to fight you over the couch, so watch out." he said playfully as he waited for her to finish with his phone.

She wasn't quite sure what he was implying when he said that. She figured he was teasing her, she was pretty easy to tease. "I'm sure they do." She decided to say. Things went quiet, so she turned back to look at her book. She had only made it through a few sentences before she jumped, hearing a smacking sound. She pushed up her glasses that had fallen down a little bit when she jumped, and looked up at him. Now that she looked at him.... he was in really good shape. She shook her head, directing a smile towards him. "That's fine." She said, not mentioning anything about joining him. She wasn't a really outdoorsy person, and she knew if she went, she'd just hold him back. She watched him take his phone out. She reached up and grabbed the phone, the same time as her other hand put the book down on the table. Grabbing her phone with that same hand, she starts adding his number. She also took the liberty to add her own number to his phone. She smiled to him as she handed him back his phone. She raised an eyebrow at him. "Oh, you wouldn't need to fight. I'd gladly let you have it."
