Nah. Sure, his life is now wheelchair bound, but I think he's handling it well. He didn't let his handicap slow him down. He can now manage to leap from roof to roof while zooming around in his chair.
At least Kishimoto allowed him to keep his good spirit of youth alive?
No comment on Sakura and her rose colored world. She married a sociopath and is now dealing with the associated issues as best she can.
For me, I'd say the two characters that got s**t on the hardest is Sai and Yamato.
Sai will forever live on as a Sasuke replacement tool.
His married life? His interaction with Ino was based on nothing more than his overall resemblance to her "former" crush Sasuke. In the end, if Ino couldn't have Sasuke's broken affection, she decided she'd settle for the next best thing that
almost resembled him.
He had such a major part in the early stages of his introduction, lots of development, and in the end he was swapped out in favor of Sasuke, who just couldn't decide what his endgame motivation for fighting was.
And Yamato, whose presence was removed for, what was it? 100 chapters give or take?
I feel like after all he did for Team 7 and the relationships he built within that team, it was all just ignored. There was no ending for him, other than Kakashi having him camp out near Orochimaru's hideout and watch for suspicious activity. The guy doesn't even wear any village insignia upon his head gear anymore. He's just a shadow that comes and goes. He deserved better.
It's also worth noting that in the anime episode, Yamato's Infinite Tsukuyomi dream was to be highly respected in Konoha and permanent leader of Team 7.
Well, keep dreamin', bro.
